Gosh Dang man that means we could get Blu-Rays of more 2000s horror titles plus more Dolph Lundgren films.
Possible titles that Shout! Factory now has the rights to put out physically on Blu-Ray now Octopus 1 and 2 Crocodile 1 and Death Swamp The Peacekeeper Sweepers Project Shadowchaser sequels yes please In Hell The Order Derailed Replicant The Cutter Brooklyns Finest yes we can get a 4K of this also this film is super underrated Cyborg Cop movies Elephant White underrated flick very underrated flick Shark Attack movies Lots of direct to video goodness here I don't mind at all I think it's about time Shout! Factory got to these titles anyway. The Mechanic remake starring Jason Statham Spiders I kind of wish Shout! Factory made a deal with Millennium Films sooner as I have been wanting Blu-Ray releases of the Shark Attack films, and the Octopus movies for so long. They're all cheesy so bad it's good fun with hilariously bad CGI, but super dang entertaining. Last edited by Watershipdownisgood; 05-21-2025 at 10:43 PM. |

I'm thisclose to ordering that Bava set since the 4K rights may be unavailable (or too expensive). I have some of these but not the majority. Can't they just confirm whether or not a 4K set is in the works? If one is not, then they can sell this off quicker.

Arrow is going to be using Shout's transfers. People just like Arrow's stupid hardbox cases, art cards and terrible booklets. (and FiM encoding, but they are using hm less and less.)

![]() ![]() After spending several years in a Vietnam prison camp, Charles Rane, a U.S. Army Major played by William Devane, returns to his Texas home, where he is greeted as a hero, but faced with a young son who does not recognize him and with a wife who has fallen in love with someone else during his absence. During a town ceremony, he is gifted a brand new Cadillac and 2,555 silver dollars, one for each day of his POW confinement. A subsequent home invasion from outlaws who want his award, however, leaves him wounded without a right hand after having seen his wife and child murdered right in front of him. With Linda, a local girl played by Linda Haynes, at his side, Rane rides down the border to track down the assailants, enlisting in the help of a friend and fellow war prisoner, played by Tommy Lee Jones. The 1977 psychological thriller cult classic, Rolling Thunder, directed by John Flynn from a story written by Paul Schrader, has always been one of my favorite films from its decade, thanks to its retrained lived-in portrayal of its distressed characters. Devane is at his best here as a taciturn man who is so mentally ravaged from his time in the prison camp that he drifts through this tale as though he were pulled by invisible magnets toward the mayhem of the violent climax. The film takes its sweet time ushering us towards the cathartic gunplay, but the setup of the character motivations is its own understated reward. Rolling Thunder features some amazing moments of camaraderie between the leads played by Devane and Tommy Lee Jones, both of whom are eager to get into a scrape after not being able to adjust to normalcy upon their return to America. My favorite aspect of this screen story is the way that it illustrates their shared wartime trauma by way of dialogue-free sequences where one can sense the weariness in their eyes. Be on the lookout for James Best, who is best known as Sheriff Rosco in The Dukes of Hazzard television show, as the ringleader of the murderous bad guys. This Shout Factory 4K UHD Blu-ray looks gloriously filmic. |

![]() ![]() Marty, a young paraplegic played by the late Corey Haim (The Lost Boys), has a rocky relationship with his older sister, Jane, played by Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables), who is burdened with helping him due to his handicapped condition, but he also enjoys a close friendship with his alcoholic uncle, played by Gary Busey (Point Break). Meanwhile, the residents of their close-knit community of Tarker's Mill are terrified by grisly murders that are occurring around the small town. After a near fatal encounter, Marty realizes that a werewolf is responsible for the deaths. As the bodies continue to pile up, he and his sister must enlist in the reluctant help of their disbelieving uncle, because the werewolf is someone closer to them than they could have ever imagined.. The 1985 horror movie, Silver Bullet, directed by Daniel Attias (Alias, The Wire), is a screen adaptation of Stephen King's novella, Cycle of the Werewolf, but it benefits from a few minor alterations. Instead of going on a bloody rampage once a month during the full moon, the creature strikes frequently during a multi-day stretch. Most importantly, however, the troubled interactions of Marty and his family command the bulk of the narrative, to great result. Haim and Follows are fantastic in their roles. An early scene, where Marty gives money to Jane to pay for her pantyhose as an apology after a practical joke goes awry, outlines the tenderness behind their constant quarreling. It is a tragedy that Haim's life became a spectacle during his final years, because, in this film, his instinctive acting talents are on full display. Busey comes close to stealing the show whenever he is on the screen, though, with the depth of his character revealed through small gestures, including a scene where he starts to take a swig from a bottle during a funeral, but ultimately puts the bottle away. The strength of the cast of main characters is made clear during the one storytelling flaw, an underwhelmingly executed scene where the werewolf attacks townspeople who are hunting it down in a foggy swamp, because the sequence comes across as an intrusion that takes our attention away from Marty and his loved ones for too long. Everett McGill (Twin Peaks) is outstanding as a local minister who elicits a semblance of sympathy. Terry O'Quinn (Lost), who plays the local sheriff, lends toughness to an earlier role in his career. Lawrence Tierney (Reservoir Dogs) makes a fun appearance as a bartender with a “Peacemaker” baseball bat. Silver Bullet is a strangely conflicted movie, because its good-natured kids movie aesthetic, which would have normally merited a PG-13 rating, is intercut with some intensely gory moments that place it squarely in R-rated territory. Somehow, though, it all comes together in a wonderful way. This is one of the better Stephen King adaptations. I will admit that nostalgia compels me to give Silver Bullet a much better rating than it actually deserves. When I was a freshman in high school, a friend of mine who had HBO at his house would occasionally record movies for me when I gave blank videotapes to him and requested certain titles. One of these VHS tapes, which contained Creepshow, Stand By Me, and Silver Bullet, was one of my prized possessions for years, one that I ultimately wore out due to repeat viewings. When I revisited this film today, by way of the new 4K UHD Blu-ray, several happy memories of my high school days came flooding back. The 4K UHD Blu-ray presentation looks marvelous. |

Where did it get leaked?
Also, a Teen Wolf 4K needs to have this special director commentary track which was recorded before Director Rod Daniel passed away. The video is from a YouTuber named Greig Stott. The video was uploaded on August 21st, 2017, 13 days after the Scream Factory Blu-ray came out. From the video description: “In memory and tribute to Rod Daniel, his family and Teen Wolf fans the world over, I wanted to share this special (and rare) commentary recorded with Rod Daniel before he died, with the help of his Sons; Lucas and John.” “Assuming you have your Blu Ray or DVD copy of Teen Wolf, press play on this video/commentary once you see the MGM Lion logo fade out in the opening of the film. Enjoy!” |

I picked up Elvira's Haunted Hills earlier this month when a coupon brought the cost down to $18. It finally arrived today as Amazon had to wait for a restock before shipment. Surprisingly enough, it still arrived with the outer hardbox slipcase which was an excellent surprise. Seems that folks ordering now are still likely to get one if you've been on the fence.
