So is the interpostive for Sleepaway Camp also missing? Since that's what source they used for the sequels?

I'm a little bummed 2 and 3 won't be from the negative, but they're still going to look way better than the existing blu-rays and that's what really matters. I imagine the negatives for those are missing too? smh

i know this is the littlest complaint imaginable.. but i wish they would do the alternative artwork on the covers of the movies too instead of the slips.. i personally don’t care for slip covers, but i hate that the alternative artwork for the killer klowns and sleepaway camps are so great. along with many others, those are just personal favorites

Shout dropped the ball on the Sleepaway Camp posters. If you want to display the og art for II and III you would have to buy two bundles.

Yeah they have done plenty of these sorts of releases that include multiple separate posters, the more recent 4 Chucky movies came with 8 total, all the poster art ones, and all of the alternative art as well, with none of them being front and back like this. It seems really weird between this and Deathstalker 1&2 to suddenly see a change to reversible posters instead, I hope fans make themselves heard so this can be a short lived change. A few movies I especially love, I’ll gladly put up both, I don’t want to have to choose.

Yeah I wish they’d go back to the cases all having reverse art. I personally love the alternate slips, and in this case since they do connect together to make a larger art piece, that will be better shown via the slips side by side than if you had a bit of blue case breaking that image up. Still it always seems weird to commission new art, and then make that art entirely a limited collector item, I feel like if I was the artist, I’d much rather that art live on with every copy still, so including the art on the reverse of the cover sheet would really help with longer term exposure for the artist.

What did the blus cost on release? $25 a piece? So all those years later we're getting better scans with new extras and slips for about $25 more. Really doesn't seem so bad, and if you sell your blus like many are it covers at least part of the cost. I was late getting 2+3 so my copies didn't even have slips.

You could wait for a sale. They're not the first Conan or Beastmaster, but if you like the schlocky/sleazy/gory aspects of Beastmaster you should like them. Or that twins Barbarians movie, or Gor/Outlaw Of Gor. They're way better than the Ator films. They're violent, theres T&A, action, humor, good fights, pretty good production design on lower budgets. I think they're fun. Never grabbed the original blu set, missed out on the times they found warehouse copies, and never went for 1 of the region B releases, so these will be a good buy for me to go straight to 4k.
