exactly.. i hate they got away from alternative art work on the covers of all 4ks.. especially when the artwork looks great

Since many have wondered why there isn't more "new" stuff on the 4K discs, the truth is this is the first major home media release of the sequels I was not consulted on/asked to contribute. These releases could have had a beautiful composite uncut part 3 release, new short movies, new filmed crew interviews, new commentaries, new archival video materials, and so much more that already exists...all they had to do was ask. We weren't even informed of the nature of these releases until the announcements. Shock Factory however are happy to reuse my contributions to both the 2002 DVDs & 2015 Blu-Rays... and stripping my credits off of them.
Pretty poor professional conduct. I'm sure they are gorgeous transfers though.

It probably comes as no surprise but I'm really diggin' these Blaxploitation Classics 4K UHD box sets that Shout Factory has been releasing lately.

They are well worth the double-dip/upgrade for titles I already owned on Blu-ray.

Speaking of, here's a thought...
I would absolutely love to see Scream Factory release a special horror/monster themed Blaxploitation Clas-sicks 4K UHD box set just in time for October/Halloween viewing.
It could include 4Ks of the following films:

1. Blacula (1972)
2. Scream Blacula Scream (1973)
3. Blackenstein (1973)
4. Abby (1974)
5. Dr. Black Mr. Hyde (1976)

Hell, there might be enough films to even have a Vol. 2!:

I know, I know, there's most likely a number of different issues including licensing rights or available film elements preventing a 4K box set like this from ever happening.

They care about their releases from a business viewpoint and not that of a fan/collector, although I'm sure many in the company are the later.

It's not even like the movies are lacking in extras. SF are includes new making-of retrospective documentaries, and new interviews with cast and crew. Combine that with the extras they already produced for the Bu-rays, and each release is fairly stacked. Could there have been even more stuff? Sure, there's always room for more, but the extas included aren't an issue.

I agree with this most of the time, they gnerally do a good job on extras!!

The SDCC announcement thing - yes, we want to bring that back. Haven't heard much on that front in a few months, so we likely won't be doing it this year, but just know that it has been discussed with hopes to resurrect it.
