Well I think a decent number took it to mean that there would be 25 titles for sale in September and not that in September 25 titles would be announced for a later date.

Only the most highly demanded title on both these forums, and the internet in general. The title every single supporter of physical media has been crying out for. The often requested My Life as a Zucchini. Huge shout-out to Scream/Shout factory for listening to fans, and delivering the title we were all aching for.

Oh, and the 143rd re-release of Halloween/Halloween 2.

My Life as a Zucchini being dragged into the mud, but it's actually a very poignant and lovely film. Still, it didn't need a re-release, unless they could've given it a 4K upgrade. Also looks like Samurai Resurrection is being re-released to regular stores and not being sold as a SF exclusive anymore. I already have it, though.

And honestly. Why September? Why an "announcement of an announcement"? This whole thing is laughable. And honestly, probably the worst slate they've ever announced, especially considering the lead up to Halloween.

I'm really glad they threatened Mifunefan, they HAD to keep Mama and Zucchini Island a secret. If they were leaked in advance, I'm pretty sure all retailers would have shut down from the flood of traffic to pre-order.

People talk about how many rereleases there have been of Halloween, but these retailer exclusives (Amazon and Wal-mart) are only the first new issues of Shout’s 4K master, right? I don’t recall anything other than the Yankee Candle Michael Myers option being available since 2021.

Yeah, it's included with the Blu-ray of Petite Maman as mentioned earlier by another member. This is the first standalone release coming directly from GKIDS. The previous one released through Universal is OOP. I believe the Criterion one only had a French dub, and was lossy, while this appears to have both English and French language options, plus a few other extras.

Which still was not an answer. What does announcing 25 titles in September even mean? Are those 25 titles through the end of the year? For a particular month . It was a useless response that was in turn talked about for pages and pages with no clarification. Then "announcement day comes" and we get what appears to be an April Fools joke.
