Sorry, I meant in terms of the original response of the Insider to Driver78. I was under the impression Duke was referring to the Insider's latest post about announcements in September, and I can well understand confusion over that.

Well there I was misinterpreting you. I did real the Insider’s response as saying 25 titles would be announced to be purchased in September.

I guess we should be thanking MifuneFan for not leaking these titles.

Are the Halloween and Halloween II steelbooks going to match closer to each other on the actual release? The different boarders around the two look weird IMO.

Also, does the announcement of only the first two also mean you plan on releasing 3-5 (or 3-8) on similarly matching steelbooks as well?

The “September announcements” just feels like a comedy of errors minus the humor. We will survive.

I’m mainly confused about the 8 film Chucky Set…so it’s just the 8 movies shipped together? Nothing else going on with that? And by confused I just mean what’s the point? Too much stock or something and they hope this will move em quicker?

I’m good with my 7 slipcovers that just so happen to include the films in 4K
[Show spoiler] I’m so funny
, and my steel of the first one. Though I do still wish the unrated cut of Seed was 4K.

I know a place where that zucchini can be inserted into.

Major bummer. RIP Shout.

Maybe this is why they told MifuneFan to stop the leaks, so that he would be spared the misfortune of being the harbinger of such woe and disappointment?

I did find them a few days ago, but I assumed (like most on here) that they were just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what was coming for the month.

So last week you were only announcing that you'd be annoucing 25 titles in September, in the midst of people's anxious anticipation of this month's announcement? And only show up to clarify after people get disappointed by this week's announcement because of the false hope you jacked up over the weekend with your misleading number 25?

Is this considered normal behavior of an official account?

If it's a week-long pratical joke played on your fanbase I'm not finding any part of it funny. If this is somehow a last minute made up excuse I'd say it's the lamest of them all.

lol what a joke. This is why we need leaks. We leave it to the label they say one thing, then the day of oh no I meant this. So what is actually announced today? All I’ve seen are pics of 3 steelbooks? Rereleased movies in steelbook form that were actually ironically leaked by Amazon.

There's no possibile way what was said could be misconstrued. And even so, how is this even a slate? It was CLEARLY stated 25 titles were being announced for September. Everyone was shocked by the number, and this is what we're given?

September with a single horror movie, 3 Steelbook reissues, a drama a foreign film I'm unfamiliar with and a dancing vegetable. Bravo.

The way this is worded is that September will be releasing 25 titles not announcing 25 in September.

I guess the reality is that we have gotten spoiled in the past, but moving forward we need to temper expectations. Easy enough. Plus, on the bright side, it's money that I don't need to spend.

This is a much worse fiasco than the Firestarter 2 rumor that plagued this thread for many weeks.
