I think people in wheelchairs in horror flicks get no respect. No offense, but I wouldn't mind a horror flick with the hero being in a wheelchair. As someone that knows great people that use wheelchairs I would love to see a horror flick with a person in a wheelchair killing the horror villain. That being said, Franklin is a badly written horror character.

Better yet have the killer be in a wheel chair. I’d pay to see that. Call it “Killer Wheels” or “Wheels of Death”

Now that I'm thinking about it one of the villains in Get Out was in a wheelchair I want more of that. Be it them being the hero, or a slasher killer with a mask, or a sadistic serial killer that is a complete monster.

Not a horror film but there's Mr. No Legs from 1978. A Hitman in a wheelchair with shotguns attached to his wheelchair.

Just imagine the killer has knives sticking out of one wheel and a chainsaw sticking on the other. His mask is a bed pan.

One thing that's always bugged me about the end of the movie is that the driver of the Black Maria who ran over the hitchhiker and hit Leatherface with the wrench, never jumped into the back of the truck with Sally. He just kept running on foot in the opposite direction.

Don't forget the guy from Friday the 13th part 2 either. This just shows how progressive Jason was. He didn't discriminate and was an equal opportunity killer.

One memory, good or bad, one hobby, anything at all? You can't, because Hooper only bothered to put her in a skimpy tank top and told her to scream nonstop...the character isn't written as Carpenter wrote Laurie Strode. Laurie Strode is a relatable empathetic fleshed out character. Sally is a broken 70's pullstring toy thats stuck on "scream" wearing a purple tanktop. You could say about the same for all the other protagonists and argue Sally is the worst final girl of the entire TCM franchise. Sally isn't even likeable on a surface level, as she's cruel to her disabled brother....there, is your imperfection.

I watched that video. The way the host of that YouTube channel acted was very strange. He stuck his tongue out and kinda crossed his eyes bowing back and forth whilst listening to this supposed insider. I question the validity of that insider as well. I believe he has had other actual insiders on. But the guy has such a difficult nature, for me.

Yes, people who have a different opinion are often ridiculed. The Godfather is considered a masterpiece to many film critics, and fans. I enjoyed it, but I don't consider it a masterpiece in my own mind. Saying it's a masterpiece and expecting everyone else should too because of how popular a movie it is, well, that's ridiculous. Much like Blader Runner, most see it as a masterpiece. I think it's a very flawed movie. Not that that means much, because most movies have flaws. I just didn't like the structure of the story.

Deatharcana even specified not liking gun-heavy action. What would you expect them to think of John Woo? You wouldn't put someone who isn't an ass-man in front of a Tinto Brass film and expect them to like it.
Exactly, and indeed! Too many people on this forum prefer sheep mentality. Nothing makes people angrier than others not agreeing 100%. Much like my disdain for It Follows. It's an interesting movie, but I think it's extremely clunky with terrible effects. The tall guy and others have those black-out-eyes that I have never liked. I enjoyed these movies, but not as much as I should by way of this forum. I stopped watching John Wick after the first. I'm not huge on gun fighting movies, either. I did end up watching them all, and they're okay. It's just dull watching people constantly firing on each other.

I agree that TCM 1974 is a masterpiece, but it doesn't fit everyone's consideration. There's nothing wrong with that.

TCM isn't a perfect movie. That's one reason so many love it. That's why it works for those of us who have it in our top whatever movie. Realism in a horror movie isn't going to happen. Not even biopics. Every movie based on a true story has a lot of fiction. Not saying that TCM is based on a true story, just a fictional account of fanfiction based on a certain killer.

A lot of folks tend to criticize movies for not being realistic. I think I remember watching Hard Boiled a decade and a half ago. A friend mentioned that something in the movie wasn't really realistic. I told them that movies rarely are realistic. It's a movie.

I think a movie called Game Over 2019 exists.

In situations like that, I defy anyone who would claim that they'd be thinking rationally.

Hey all - If you haven't heard by now, this month marks the 13th anniversary of Scream Factory, and we have several fun things planned for the momentous date.

Most notably, our Vidiots takeover on 9/19: We're screening PIRANHA (with Joe Dante in attendance!), and premiering our new 4K restoration of DAY OF THE DEAD. Not only that, but we're hosting a pop-up in the Vidiots video store, where we'll have 40+ of Scream's best selling titles available for sale at discounted prices (plus a few other goodies). If you're in LA, you should definitely stop by!

(And if you follow us on IG, you probably noticed we’ve been spotlighting brick-and-mortar video stores from around the U.S. — 13 spots in total. We'll keep posting a new location every day leading up to our anniversary on 9/19. You can read more about these vital institutions who are keeping physical media thriving over on IG.)

Scream Factory wouldn’t exist without the support of these passionate purveyors and movie-obsessed communities like you. Thanks for all the support — here's to another 13 years.
