Demon Knight 4k has to be soon right?? That is one of my most wanted upgrades. Same with Serpent And The Rainbow, but i really want Scream to release more never on blu or 4k releases.

If Shout is putting out a 4K of LEAVING LAS VEGAS, I wonder if they also can get (or have gotten) the 4K rights for RUSH (1991). That one screams Cinématographe at any rate.

Nope, as far as a Demon Knight (1995) 4K is concerned. Many pages back in this thread (spring and summer) the ShoutFactoryOfficial was asked at least a few times (including me) about a 4K for the film’s 30th anniversary. He said: No plans. But maybe Shout will surprise us with an announcement.

I wouldn't say that, they are re releasing tons of movies on 4k just like Scream Factory. Terror Vision is the new Scream Factory imo, they just have way less output, all the major horror lables are cooling down on horror and mostly re relasing stuff on 4k. Look at Vinegar Syndrome, they've gone major mainstream now, and re relase tons of stuff that Scream Factory already released. The only label that surprises me is, Terror Vision now, all the rest are have a few gems here and there.

Im a horror fan first, but i am a huge Hong Kong and Asian film fan too. And in that regard, they've released tons of gems as of recently. But like I said in my previous post, all the labels we once loved imo, have become re release mills.

Apparently Shout is now in the business of acquiring films or film libraries and doing nothing or next to nothing with them. They supposedly own Humongous. They own one of Charles Bronson's best films, Evil That Men Do, outright but chose to only do a limited, webshop exclusive on BD for it. Pretty sure I read somewhere, years ago, that Shout may own some of the Howling sequels via their ownership of Timeless Media (someone more knowledgeable could chime in and correct me on this if I'm wrong). And the Corman catalog - are they even done completely exploiting it?

companies that seem to care about that stuff anymore are Terror Vision, and recently Kino. Like wow Kino is releasing some good 70s horror stuff I'm impressed. |
