STEPFATHER 2 is already out on DVD from Synapse, and I am sure they have the BD rights

I recently bought the Radley Metzger Collection Blu-ray set, but I was planning on only getting Score. The R rated version. I fully expected them not to carry the hardcore version, but they just flat out had none. They don't seem to carry any of Cult Epics titles, at least not the ones I have sought out.
[/SPOILER]
Best Buy is awful now and is slowly getting rid of nearly it's entire movie and music section. But back in the day, they used to stock just about everything including Synapse titles and so forth. But now they don't even bother with such companies, so online or Barnes & Noble at full retail, or online at discounts are about the only options left for the more 'obscure' releases.

Best Buy is indeed dreadful. They used to carry boutique labels like Code Red and Dark Sky, but those days are long gone.

Interesting. I wasn't even aware there was a further edited release.

Whilst I'd be interesting in seeing it, mainly for comparison, I'd much rather see a full uncut release on BD from Synapse... hopefully one day.

Amazon Japan is handled differently and have been for years, Amazon China requires a new account as well I've been told.

Haven't tried Amazon Brazil or India, the former doesn't have anything except books (last I checked) and the latter has only marketplace sellers with no international shipping so of no real interest.

That would be rad. I've always thought my DVD of pumpkinhead looks quite good so the blu-ray would hopefully look great.

Pumpkinhead is one of those cult classics that demands a Scream factory release. I got my fingures crossed, also hope it be on the collectors edition line so we can get a cool slip cover and reversable artwork.

I miss Media Play, they carried an amazing Horror and Cult selection on Dvd in comparison to Best Buy. Fry's carries a pretty damn nice selection for a B&M though, unfortunately they are few and far between. If only they would consider and upgrade and save sale, the potential...

Just like Prom Night, Prom Night II, Halloween 6, H20, Resurrection, etc.
They are owned by different companies, like Miramax.
Who does own Curtains then? Is it just that Echo Bridge has the releasing rights?

I certainly hope my petition isn't for naught.

I'm going to say SimCom.

They theatrically released Prom Night, Prom Night II, and Curtains, in part, in Canada. I'm not sure what their rights are internationally.
All three Echo Bridge has the rights to distribute, but SimCom must have the original rights, since we know MGM lost Prom Night II and it reverted back to the original owners, who then gave it to Echo Bridge.

So, I think it's safe to assume SimCom. But Jensen-Farley is listed on a few sites.

But we don't know how limited Echo Bridge's rights are.
I wouldn't say the petition is for nothing.

It's a shame that Prom Night has never had an acceptable disc release.

Maybe one day it'll fall into the lap of someone like SF, who will give it a nice release.

Hey Cliff,

I noticed you guys are releasing Crawlspace. Originally this was on a Midnight Movie double feature from MGM with The Attic. Any chance on getting The Attic on blu? Personally I've always liked The Attic better than Crawlspace anyway. Also I know it's been mentioned but Nightmares on blu would rule. Keep putting them out and I'll keep buying them (and getting deeper in debt).

What do you mean? Didn't you read the response to your comment from yesterday? Someone re-posted Cliff's post that denied Pumpkinhead and Squirm in the MGM deal. Also, I thought that Pumpkinhead was boring as hell.
