I hope not. I hated that movie. It really isn't good. The only movie I've seen that I felt I needed a shower afterwards.

Almost every post in this thread is random. At least 8MM is close to a Scream release instead of the 80's comedies that were being bandied about in this thread.

Default Picture Quality of Phantasm II

How is the picture quality of Scream's release of Phantasm II? The reviews are all over the board. I've seen reviews giving it high scores and other reviews/complaints of having barely HD quality. What are your thoughts on Phantasm II's picture quality?

I watched LIFEFORCE last night and it was terrific. Very highly recommended.

The only tweak I would have have hoped for is if Scream Factory could have digitally enhanced Steve Railsback's acting ability.

Other than that...it's perfect.

I usually don't watch a movie when I don't have time, or intention, to finish it.
That feature has nothing to do with the size of our company.
The feature isn't available in the software package our authoring house uses.
Sorry

The jump from Mathilda May in washed out transfers to a nice HD presentation well... it gets my Lifeforce flowing

Really fun flick for real though.

I'd like to see HARDCORE (1979) in Blu-ray, but I guess that Scream Factory doesn't do Sony titles.

Scream Factory is partnering with the Cinefamily repertory theater in Los Angeles for a blu-ray release party of The Incredible Melting Man on July 26. If it's even half as fun as last month's Ninja III release party (also at Cinefamily), this will be a must-attend event.

Tickets: Cinefamily: The Incredible Melting Man Blu-Ray release party

Glad to hear everyone's happy with their LIFEFORCE and THE HOWLING bluray's. I'm holding out to get mine next month with THE FOG and INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN along with Criterion's THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE and THE EVIL DEAD remake and blind buy THE VAMPIRE LOVERS for good measure. I'm also anxious to hear next month Scream's announcements of new titles.

Ginger Snaps, anyone? How has Ginger Snaps not gotten high definition treatment? It never even got a proper original aspect ratio DVD release in the United States.

I'm pretty sure Millennium has it.
They might be doing it soon, especially with their announcement of their Hammer Trilogy on Blu-Ray.

I suspect Hardcore is a more likely candidate for the Twilight Time series.
