Damn that's disappointing! It makes sense, but hopefully this isn't something us Canucks will run into too often. I'll just have to pick it up next time I place an order from ImportCDs.

Personally, I was thrilled to see Cliff as one of the key figures behind Shout! Factory's Corman titles and later Scream! Factory. I just knew it was going to be good.
You are correct.... and thank you for your nice comments.
Four years at BCI, i think... and before that Five years at Venutura Distrbution releasing a bunch of J-Horror and the Sonny Chiba Collection.

What is the worst selling Scream Title as of yet?

Do the double feature titles sell better than the single feature titles?

Did you work for another comapany before joining Shout! when producing the SE edition of Audition?

Is your team praized at Shout! for putting them on the map?

Do other companies want to hire you to do the same you have done for Shout! for their companies? Like, letssay Don May Jr asking you, hey, come work for Synapse!

Cliff, you dont have to answer.

Someone answered the question on the best selling title and where i was prior to Shout.
I can't really say what the worst selling title is. It's only been a little over a year.
I produced the Shout version of AUDITION and the Ventura Distribution version in 2001.

I'm thinking of adding some more Carpenter titles to my collection. Right now I've got Halloween and the Thing. I figured this would be a good forum to gauge a sense of some others that I might add. How do you rank his filmography?

How long will you have to wait until you decide whether Ninja 3 or the upcoming Price Collection have sold well enough to move on with more of the titles? If the Price set sells well, would we still have to wait a few years to see a second collection?

It would be awhile... maybe six months. Plus we'd have to get the rights to the other films if they are available.

I hope the sales of The Vampire Lovers wont deter you from possibly licensing other Hammer or British horror films...I would think Island of Terror would do well...but its the ones that Warner owns that probably would do the best...
Im surprised, since Vampire Circus and Twins of Evil did really well if Im not mistaken but Vampire Lovers didn't..
Anyway the transfers are all great...I bet I also have a lot of Blu Rays with the Mac-touch on them !

I would love more Hammer.

I personally love The Vampire Lovers, it's one of my favorite non-Universal Horror/Sherlock hammer films, and I hope they continue with them.

Phantom of the Opera is great, and I would love Hound of the Baskervilles.

I really hope Ninja 3 sells well. I am a huge fan of the 80's Cannon movies and am still holding out hope for some of the other gems from that era like Revenge of the Ninja, American Ninja 1 & 2, and Avenging Force. While it is not a Cannon movie, I will gladly take Pray for Death Uncut as well. Sho Kosugi's 2nd best movie behind Revenge of the Ninja in my opinion.

Cliff did a phenomenal job at BCI, releasing many films that were new to home video, and most in their original aspect ratios.

Ghost of Mars is cheap but light action fun. It's not great but sometimes I think Ghost of Mars' reputation is such to suggest there's no point in watching it and I disagree with that.

Just placed an order through B&N! THE FOG, INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, LIFEFORCE, THE HOWLING, TERROR TRAIN and THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE. It will arrive as one package and I am so stoked about it. I decided to forego the Criterion sale in July and buy my true passion of horror titles. It will be like Christmas morning when that package arrives at my doorstep. And now I will pull up a chair at the front door and wait.

FYI, just so everyone knows, B&N is having a sale if you buy two currently released titles you get a third for free. Great opportunity to catch up on Scream titles.
