I'm also pretty sure that at one point La Setta was called Demons 3 too which may be the biggest WTF of them all
In the UK, back in the video rental days we got an Itallian (I think) movie called Exorcist III Cries and Shadows starring Richard Conte. It was just called Cries and Shadows on screen and everywhere else in the world.

Of course, The Horror Show also got branded as House III The Horror Show making House IV technically House III. If memory serves, the Wes Craven produced Mind Ripper also got called The Hills Have Eyes Part 3 in various territories.

Speaking of many titles, the Godzilla movies have a million titles, mostly during the 1960s - 1970s Showa era...and Godzilla 1985. Not confusing but they had a ton of alternate titles ...man if Shout was able to get the rights to any of the Godzilla movies Id have to apply for more credit cards...Right now Id be happy if Godzilla 1985 would finally get a release on disc...

Oh yeah, the Blind Dead series...I think they were also called the Evil Dead in some countries

He's done a number of reviews of titles that aren't as "obscure" as the usual fare he does as the Snob. Just off the top of my head, he's done all the Sleepaway Camp films and the original Last House On The Left, as well.

Oh I know. I've practically seen a few films he reviewed, the first Sleepaway Camp and the original Last House on the Left among them.

Wow, jeez, no reason to attack me! Sorry, I want HD format releases, and I don't see anything wrong with wondering why these are coming out as DVD-only. It's not like I didn't say it wasn't appreciated. Drop the attitude. This is a Blu-Ray forum, so what interests me are Blu-Ray releases, after all.

Drop my attitude ? No, you drop yours. Instead of being glad we are getting official releases for these titles, you have to say why isnt it on blu ray ? If it isnt already obvious why ? And if you are thankful, just say so.
I swear some blu ray only collectors act like spoiled children in a playground that I feel like creating "Blu Ray for whiners thread" where all the negativity can all be grouped together in one place.
And while this is a blu ray forum, its Scream Factory (North America)discussion page thread where DVD and Blu Ray releases are discussed.
You want HD format releases, well its not going to happen with every title so the fewer the bellyaches about it the better off we all are and keeps the forum in a peaceful environment
And lastly it wasnt really any attack, I was simply saying what happened to thank you for releasing (such and such)

Is there any reason the Sci-Fi 4-pack hasn't yet dropped to $6.99 like the Horror one?

Another MGM/AIP horror that I'd love to buy is DEMENTIA 13, Francis Ford Coppola's axe murder thriller. MGM has the rare D-13 Test sequence in their vaults. The film's posters admonished: "You must pass the D-13 Test to enter the theater!"

Well, there was no test given to actually enter the theater (as a ten year old, I was disappointed by that). The film began with a "psychologist" administering the test to a room of students (they're never shown, but as a ten year old, I actually believed that they were present).

Cliff, regarding NIGHT OFTHE COMET, will there be an interview with Kelli Maroney? I saw her in a late 90's film noir entitled FACE DOWN, and she was still really hot.

Not too sure actually, I imagine it will drop to $6.99 before release date but if it remains it's still a great price for me. I know I've expressed this before, but I really love these multi-packs for various reasons. Sure, we'd all love to have Blu-rays of each film on their own but since there are so many less cherished films in the MGM vaults that would hardly sell as many units as desired, these packs are the best way to ensure we finally see a ton of films on a pressed disc. I honestly couldn't be happier with this strategy so props yet again to Cliff and Jeff.

Too true. With 4 quad packs, there have been 13-14 titles that have never had a DVD release been released. Take that Lionsgate 8 packs.

I bet she would be more than willing...she used to post on the IMDB message board before the DVD release hoping to be able to contribute to a special edition. She wanted them to include lot's of extras.

Night of the Comet is sure to be a stacked release. Both Catherine and Kelli wanted a special edition with lots of features and Mary Woronov already participated in a Scream release (TerrorVision).

No, it's not.

You're making up your own forum rules.

This is a Blu-ray Forum as per the designation for this forum which reads:

"Discuss Blu-ray movies, announcements, release dates, etc for the US and Canada."

I fell like creating a thread for people who can't read simple forum rules. There is a DVD forum here:
