Well, no slip came with "Terror Train" from Amazon. Back to the warehouse it goes. Don't think I'm even gonna bother with ordering directly from "Shout!"/"Scream", might as well just save the refund on the card for the upcoming release of "The Fog."

Okay, you sent a movie with John Alcott cinematography "back to the warehouse" because it didn't have your f***in' fetish-cover?
Could you just, no, just stand there for a second while I hit you?

I really think the entire world is going insane...what is this bizarre affection for a slipcover which is a frigging piece of cardboard. I own hundreds of original film posters and lobby sets from the 60s on, but this love for slip cases???? It's a cardboard container for a movie you supposedly love. Are people really buying blu rays for the packaging....someone please slap me so I can tell I'm not dreaming here.....

To each his own I would say. Some could say those film posters and lobby sets are nothing but a piece of paper. Those 60s posters and sets wouldn't exist today if someone didn't collect or keep them back in the 60s. Different people collect different things that's what makes this world interesting and people unique.

I agree, but to not buy a blu ray of a movie you really may love because it may no longer come with a slipcase? Right, to each his own.

I could be wrong but it sounds like he may have purchased it exclusively for the slip cover rather than the movie. It wouldn't be a first for someone to do that.

To those of you also in the Boston area, the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, MA will be showing Q: The Winged Serpent on Monday. It will play at 5:30 and 9:30 PM in either a single feature or a double feature with Cloverfield.

I don't mind missing out on a slip from anyone else, the movie is what I am after.

But Scream is the first company that I have bought everything from their catalog, and I'll be damned if I don't get one. I don't care who I have to send it back to. They are awesome and I'm proud to have them in my collection.

But, like, the Zombie slipcover, I could care less...

Some people just like uniformity in their collection.

If I had all the other collectors editions with their slip covers, and one showed up without, I wouldn't be too happy.

But say it was like a recent release or a general one not part of a series or collection, I wouldn't be too shattered about missing a slipcover

Someone in the DVD thread, DemonKnight I believe, commented about a DVD 4 Pack release of New Year's Evil and some other Holiday slashers...

I, respectfully, disagree.
I would like them on Blu-Ray.

Does anyone think they would sell on this format, or DVD?

If we saw New Years Evil from Scream, it'd have to be blu only, as the archive titles they've done so far are blu only, so that Archive can still sell the DVDs.

-To All a Goodnight
This?

and To All A Good Night would make a nice Double Feature with another Holiday-ish Blu-Ray title. The late David Hess was a unique filmmaker.

Christmas Evil
is with Synapse.
Don't Open Till Christmas is PD, I think. It's confusing.

Does MGM have another solo-Holiday horror movie that it could be paired with? Or simply To All A Good Night be released alone.

I would buy it and New Year's Evil, I really like them both and I never got the MGM MOD Dvd NYE. So I would gladly jump on a BD of it.

As much as I love Christmas horror, this speculation will have to be for next year, as Cliff already answered about this Christmas with the classic "Ho ho no"

I am perfectly aware, they have announced everything for this year already.
Except for a couple more that will be announced at Comic Con along with some others for next year.

Someone on facebook mentioned this recently, so Cliff, what about Dead Shadows?
Will it be released later this year or next year? At all?

I really enjoyed it.

Depends on the cut. Synapse's release was the "Original Director's Cut" with the "You Better Watch Out" title card. The theatrical cut, on the other hand, is apparently on numerous public domain DVDs. I only have the Synapse release, so I'm not sure what the diferences between the two cuts are.
