Has anyone ever asked about 'Silence of the Lambs'? MGM owns it so maybe SF could get it. We need a better Blu-ray than what was thrown out from MGM. I thought for sure it would have gotten a Special Edition from MGM but nope. And the PQ isn't anything to write home about either.

Just blind bought and watched The Howling today. For what it's attempting to be, I think it's an absolute masterpiece! Had so much fun watching it. And I LOVED the Horrors Hallowed Grounds special feature. Great stuff; I hope to see that type of thing pop up on future releases.

The only other Scream Factory disc I had before The Howling was They Live because I really love that movie, but The Howling is getting me addicted to the Scream Factory series itself. I just pre-ordered The Fog as another blind buy because it appears to be loaded with special features too and John Carpenter rarely fails me. But I also pre-ordered The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Perhaps a riskier proposition, but I think I'll like it.

It's based on a long running franchise of books and other media by Gary Brander.

It's a common feature on their releases, like on Halloween II and Halloween III.

You may have bought it, but it wasn't a pre-orded. It's been out for awhile.
It was my most wanted of all their releases, as well as many other poster's. I think you will like it.

(how had you never seen The Howling or The Fog?
I get Town, because it's never been available before, but wow. Lol.)

Not only are you in for a treat with The Fog itself, but it has one of the most fun and in-depth Horror's Hallowed Grounds yet!

Though I like the idea, I don't think there would much point in it. With perhaps the exception of THE FOG (?), SF appears to just use whatever master they are supplied with by the rights holders, so the PQ would probably be the same. And as far as extras goes, Criterion supposedly turned MGM down when they were offered the chance to re-release it on BD some time ago, as they felt they could not add much to the already existing release.

I really liked The Town that Dreaded Sundown. It also comes with The Evictors, as well. And many people have commented that they preferred The Evictors over The Town, but I preferred Town. Town also reminded me a bit of Zodiac, if Zodiac was shot in the 70s.

Wow, if there are similarities to Zodiac, I'm going to love it since that's number 4 on my top 100 movies of all-time. I'm not terribly picky; I actually found Pierce's Boggy Creek II to be pretty enjoyable as a movie even while being the subject of ridicule by the gang from MST3K. And I haven't seen movies like The Fog and, up until yesterday, The Howling because I haven't watched much horror since I was a little kid. As a kid, horror was my favorite genre with Creepshow II, Halloween, and the Friday the 13th series being my favorites. The best horror film of all-time (IMO), The Shining, is virtually the only one I can get my wife to watch these days but she peeked in on The Howling and was entertained by what she saw.

Its almost exactly like Zodiac, it involves the investigation of true legit unsolved serial killings in Texas, the police are involved and it's played sorta like an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.

Other than the structure, the killer also has a similar getup, and there are many more similarities to Zodiac, as many posters have pointed out.

It's, arguably, my favorite Scream Factory release.

Awesome! Really looking forward to sitting down with it. Incidentally, I also have Lifeforce that I bought at the same time as The Howling. I just watched it and didn't really connect with it (as much as Mathilda May tried to sway my vote). But I guess I'll hold onto it unless someone here has another Scream Factory Collector's Edition they are looking to move.

Q isn't going to be a Collector's Edition. You aren't getting a slip cover regardless...

Incorrect... If we used every master from the licensor, we'd have less releases. We've transferred quite a few titles - Day of the Dead, Town That Dreaded Sundown, The Nest, Death Valley, X-Ray, Schizoid, Deadly Blessing - and more titles yet announced ... and we color corrected masters for Halloween II, Q, Lifeforce (with the director) and Phantasm II (with the director) because I was unhappy with the way they looked.

Hi Cliff, I was pleased to notice that you seem to have stopped including the 'COLLECTOR'S EDITION' banner across the tops of your posters - will that be the approach from here on out? Also, speaking of posters, I just noticed the smiley face sticker among the detritus at Marsha's feet on the Howling poster, a nice touch.

Somehow, I'd never heard of Without Warning until now, but after seeing this post, I just checked out the trailer. Looks interesting. I would welcome this from SCREAM.

I know several companies have looked into releasing this over the years, but so far it has been fruitless.

Maybe there is some uncertainty about the rights. MGM sure thinks they have them as they have shown it in HD on cable. But I know for a fact, that another company also claims to own it and have shopped it around to companies abroad.

I would personally buy a BD of WITHOUT WARNING in a heartbeat. I watched it many times on TV as a kid. It's definitely not some lost masterpiece, but it is good fun, has some very memorable actors, and then there of course is the whole parallel with PREDATOR.

Dead End (03) is fantastic!
I think it's Lionsgate.
It's like my favorite movie of the early 2000's in regards to horror.

I would kill for it, or die for it, so long as they ship to heaven...
