I get that they should be open to criticisms, but just because you don't want these titles, do you really think Shout! screwed the pooch? Everywhere except Blu-Ray.com, I see massive enthusiasm for these announcements...so, when people say to put a lid on the negativity, that's an assessment of the way in which you guys are saying "I'm not into these titles," not the fact that you don't want them. Shout! releases enough stuff for you to stay neutral about the stuff you're not interested in.

What he said.

I mean Cliff, we love you, we really do, all your input and information never goes unappreciated. Just don't know about this announcement. I'm sure more popular and better titles (to us anyway) are coming down the pipeline, but we're eager people, rabid fans, you can't blame us, the "Scream Factory" line is what we've been dying for.

I think we just had too high of expectations/hopes and couldn't help but be slightly let down. Obviously aside from the "Nightbreed" and "Darkman" news and possibly the "Assault on Precinct 13" release depending on what it entails, I'm kind of bummed that I could possibly be double dipping on that one, but whatever, I mean if your going to put out a superior product, you gotta have it.

Has anyone ever asked about Flowers in the Attic? It's kinda creepy. Louise Fletcher creeps the hell out of me. I think it would be a cool one to add. Another movie I saw when I was a kid and thought was pretty nifty was American Gothic (1988). Of course, I haven't seen either of these in probably 15-18 years, so it's possible they both totally blow.

And don't forget they're 'working feverishly on trying to close deals so that we can announce more favorites soon!', so there should be more to come in the (relatively) near future.

Maybe I'm thinking about this backwards, but it seems to be about the quality of announcements I expected.

In my opinion had they announced all the big titles we wanted they would have been shooting themselves in the foot. Every announcement after this would have seemed a letdown to a certain extent. I am sure some of the other titles are coming sooner rather than later and I for one am very excited to see what 2014 brings (at least 48 new titles if they do 4 a month)

I am not trying to cause any friction with this post. I simply wanted to weigh in on the topic. My top want from them is Fright Night 2 so I admit a bit of initial disappointment as well with the announcements.

On another note: Thank you Cliff for all you guys are doing. Scream has quickly become my favorite Label.

Come on guys, if this is what you're working on...
BRING BACK THE FRIDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS IN A WEEK OR TWO!

Just one movie a week after the initial week of the comeback. That is all we ask (unless, of course, there are two films in the same franchise being announced).

Well no Without Warning. Oh shucks ! Not surprised. I hate to admit it but I have zero interest in 4 of them. I thought Darkman sucked quite honestly. I wasnt into AOP13. I was going to watch Nightbreed...all the other stuff...meh -
This is the equivalent of Criterions October releases ..you think you may get Cronenberg and David Lynch but instead you get dull oldies and an artsy film. I hope they sell well and well I just hope we get the titles we had hoped for down the road. My God, this was underwhelming LOL !!
I still love the company though but sheesh that was the announcements ?? I was more excited for Cellar Dweller

Nastassja Kinski was the highlight of the early 1980s, so I'm looking forward to putting Scream Faxtory's Cat People on the shelf next to my Criterion Blu-ray of Paris, Texas. It's probably just a matter of time before they release Tess on these shores as well, so I'll have all three.

December 2013 looks pretty packed as well.
-The Beast Within
-Crawlspace
-Darkman
-Saturn 3
-The TV Movies DVD set
-and possibly Eve of Destruction (may be November)

2014, however, has at least 46 more titles in it. We only know:
-Cat People
-Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut

Atleast they're ending this year or August through October anyway with a big bang. My wallet could use the rest that's forthcoming with some of these titles I don't really want.

Eve of Destruction and Assault on Precinct 13 are assumedly Shout and not Scream then? Saturn 3 might end up being a Ninja III-type scenario.

-Night of the Comet
-The Horror Show
-Assault on Precinct 13
-Eve of Destruction
-The Beast Within
-Crawlspace
-Darkman
-Saturn 3

Rumor has it Criterion will be releasing Tess at some point. Would love to see it happen.
On the Scream announcements front, thanks to Cliff and staff for all the hard work they do. It's great when the people who are responsible for our wonderful shiny discs are film fans themselves and it shows in their hard work. Keep up the great work!

Why would they be announced on the Scream page after the Scream panel then?
