Its not that bad to genre film lovers but its a horror (sort to speak) to the MST3K audience. Their views are a little bit different

Why would they give it a low rating? Do all the MST3K things suck or is it the "cool" thing to do?

Eve of Destruction has a low-rent, TV movie feel. If the SyFy channel had existed in 1991 they would've made it. I had the DVD lying around for years before I finally sat down to watch it - didn't make it past the 20-minute mark.

So is Scream Factory just releasing the Darkman sequels on DVD or are they releasing the first one on Blu as well?

I watched Swamp Thing today, and the transfer was not the most impressive. Not necessarily Scream factory's fault as I don't know what the original elements looked like but for the most part the picture was not too sharp, and there were odd blotchy skies in some instances. Surely the best the film has looked but it was not a great looking transfer considering how some other genre films look, especially something like incredible melting man, which looked very impressive.
Still the film is pretty entertaining and the transfer is decent, just murky for a blu release (of course some shots were richer and sharper than others). Disappointed, but I appreciate the effort they put into the releases, it is very cool to see Reggie Batts talk about the film.
I'll post some screenshots tomorrow.

You lose review cred if you didn't watch past 20 minutes...most movies like this don't pick up till last quarter. . Eve is much better than some of the Scream movies for acting alone. Not that I'm saying it's great but please there are some real stinkers on the Scream roster. I think as horror fans you are maybe looking at it differently...it really should be a Shout title not a Scream.

I cant wait to get Swamp Thing. I watched it on Netflix about a year ago and It was almost unwatchable the quality was so bad. So your take on the transfer doesn't really surprise me.

Just ordered Swamp Thing today. Almost caught up on all the Scream releases (excluding the Chiller movies).

They're releasing the original on Blu-Ray. They haven't made any annoncements, that I'm aware of, with regards to the sequels.

Imo, Chilling Visions was really good.
I'm getting it, it was 5 short films, almost styled like an anthology, and a couple were really really good.

That's one I thinking about getting. September-November is jammed pack with stuff though so that is kind of an afterthought.

My mistake. The announcement said Darkman and a TV Terrors double feature DVD. I had assumed that the post meant a Darkman double feature DVD.

Is it at least as good looking as the MGM HD-UK release?:

Exactly why I think they kinda dropped the ball here with this one and "Saturn 3." But hey, not my cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't others. We'll let the numbers speak for themselves, I guess.

I may be imagining things, but did someone post that they got the X-Ray/Schizoid double feature a week or two ago?
