So I am very excited. Bring on Prison.........and hopefully Cellar Dweller in the future!!!!

Not excited? If we only had a live cam feature on here, you'd see a LOT of people with silly grins on their faces. Even if PRISON (or TERRORVISION) isn't your cup of tea, the fact that Shout has licensed a good chunk of the MGM library is enough to make a lot of people happy. This is much bigger than the occasional "left field" title - you just know it's only a matter of time before your personal favorite movie gets announced. It's MGM, after all

UPDATE: I've been searching around and haven't found any official word other than Code Red's old 2011 news. Darn, I guess my friend was mistaken.
Check Goliath Film's Facebook here, for new information about The Mutilator blu-ray. The story is that Goliath films announced a 2013 The Mutilator blu-ray/DVD release and Code Red is now disputing the rights (similar to the Popcorn situation), fingers crossed.

Credit to horrordigital.com for "the scoop".

Fair enough. I'm sure there are fans out there, but for the most part not too many seem to have even seen or heard of it. I live on the horror digital forum and these titles aren't titles I hear much about it. Maybe that will change when these blus hit? Either way like I said I'll check these out but compared to the Universal titles these haven't been creating the same excitement. I just hope the next title announced is a big one, ie. a title many on here are screaming for! Again not trying to be a downer, they are definitely the best studio out there, the fact they are announcing a new title every week is nothing but awesome, and I'm glad there are fans out there for these MGM titles, I just hope the next announcement is one everyone has seen and has been craving for.

Maybe we're familiar with them cause we're old enough to have seen some of them on VHS? Age might play a part in it since not all 80's horror were released on DVD and some possibly only outside of Region 1. Basically saying that not everything has been widely available to everyone over the years.

Thankfully Scream Factory is going the extra mile and bringing us horror fans some films I'm sure many of us never expected to see on Blu-Ray.

Dolls holds a special place in my heart. I hope it's one of the future titles.

Well, if we're speaking about MGM stuff, is there a chance that DERANGED and/or BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW will be put out?

"Sundown" will be on TCMHD in about an hour if you're still up

Thanks for the heads up. I hope this is cleared up soon, I really want that film on Blu.

On Topic,

If Scream Factory does have bigger titles in the deal then they are doing the wise thing by not, to use a crude term, blowing the load early. That will keep us all talking and guessing and anticipating everything they have ahead.

Who would have ever thought Prison would make it to Blu before Critters? (Damn you, WB!)

I don't know if this means anything but I was at MGM's website and didn't see Scanners anywhere. Which MIGHT mean someone picked up the rights.

As far I know, MGM still holds the rights.

First time poster here, loving everything about SF, still waiting on my H2&H3 blus the reach the uk.
just hoping that The Nest gets the collectors edition treatment as ive always loved this movie(even got the novel) and considering this is probably the only chance this movie has of ever having a commentary etc it would be great if SF gave it the full treatment.ill be buying it regardless though.

Unfortunately, by the looks of the cover art it doesn't seem like this one will get the "Collector's Edition" banner but that doesn't necessarily mean that there won't be any supplements, it's possible it may be very few. "The Island" and "Death Valley" aren't Collector's Editions and it still hasn't been announced if there will or won't be special features on those so there's always a chance for "The Nest".

Never seen Prison, but being a F13th and NOES fan have heard it mention alot. Be great if it has a Renny Harlin Commentary and a John Carl Bechler and Kane Hodder Commentary.

Renny Harlin's name alone is reason enough to steer clear of a movie. I can't think of one original film of his that I like. Even his franchise contributions suck (Exorcist: The Beginning, Nightmare 4). The only film of his that is watchable is Die Hard 2 and it's still easily the low point of the series. I will admit a mild curiosity to seeing Prison though, just from all the mentions it gets in documentaries. And Buechler rules.
