Here's the trailer for those not familiar, or want a refresher. It's been several years since I've seen this myself.

Well, that's two from Empire Pictures (TerrorVision and Prison). Anybody know if MGM controls any other notable films from Empire? I can think of: Cellar Dweller, Arena (1989), Robot Holocaust, Eliminators (pretty sure this is with MGM), Underworld aka Transmutations.

From the Empire Pictures catalog, MGM has released Breeders, Crawlspace, Dolls, From Beyond, Troll, Ghoulies and Ghoulies II on dvd--plus Zone Troopers, Ghost Warrior, and The Caller on dvd-r.

There's not much there to hang your hat on, so hopefully Scream Factory got some other goodies (like New Year's Evil, Hospital Massacre, and The Town that Dreaded Sundown!).

so i got my halloween 2 and 3 blu rays a couple days ago and i have to say im very impressed. from the slips with new artwork on them to the reversable covers the packaging is top-notch. i watched the docs on both and halloween 2 last night. the PQ looked really good to me. all the bonus features are enjoyable too. if all future scream blurays are this good i will be buying quite alot of them. good job scream. 40 dollars well spent. even though these are older movies that ive seen a million times everything that goes into the final package is well worth the 20 dollars.

Awesome. I saw Prison in the theater in 1988 as a double feature with my favorite film Brain Damage. Very happy to retire my blurry R2 DVD. Can't wait to see the cover art.

I'm cool with Prison. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but I really liked it when I saw it.

Just for Clarification.
...and I'm actually pretty surprised nobody corrected you up to this point,
but that is totally NOT a pentagram in that picture.

Finally, so long overdue for a release here in the states. That being said, I was hoping that the announcement was The Town That Dreaded Sundown... but they'll get to that in due time.

Right, my mistake - it's a hex sign, as on the barn in Warlock, correct?

I'm very happy that Prison is coming to Blu-Ray! That means more undead Kane Hodder characters on Blu, which will hold us over until a certain other undead character of his completes the journey to the format.

I'm sure the special features will be good, and if there is to be a making of featurette I hope Renny Harlin, Kane and maybe even Viggo Mortensen will participate in it.

Thanks again, Cliff and Scream Factory. Another great score for you guys.

Hate to be a downer again but again kind of disappointed. Don't get me wrong, Prison looks decent and I'll def. pick it up. I'll probably grab just about any title Scream announces, but Cliff said we'd be jumping for joy over these announcements and so far I haven't seen anyone too excited over any of the announced MGM titles. Where is The Fog, The Howling, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, the big releases everyone is talking about!?

Ahh well, there's always next week. If they they have the licenses to any of these huge titles, next week is the time to at least announce one. It's great the so far announced titles have never been released on DVD and/or only in shoddy releases, but they are still not titles too many people have been clamoring for or are REALLY excited about.

Please, next week throw out a title that will blow our minds, and will have pages of excitement like when Halloween 2 and 3, Phantasm 2, ect. were announced! Give us The Howling, The Fog, Prince of Darkness, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, ect.!

My Halloween 2 and 3 showed up in the mail today. My god they're sexy! It's so nice to see somebody putting this kind of care into catalogue horror titles. It reminds me of the glory days of Anchor Bay on DVD.

I haven't seen any of the last three movies that have been announced recently and that's what I'm loving about SF. They're bringing out blurays of movies I've never seen that are right up my alley! Can't wait to build my SF library, both Halloweens are on their way in the mail
