Just this year I took in a lot of horror movies - recently I checked out slashers ..some of what Ive seen
I was determined to watch as many as I could because I felt like I was missing out by not checking out some horror films. Id hate to be the movie watcher that I am and not watch movies in one of my favorite genres. I wanted to dive back into the horror genre. Most of these were so-so, I couple I thought were awful and some were keepers And it was fun to watch and Im still checking out horror movies that I haven't seen. Certain ones, genres , low budget Code Red types. Im waiting for Curtains from Synapse !

Side note....I know MGM owns the 1988 movie, Scarecrows. Any idea if this would be a potential Scream release at some time? It has tons of atmosphere and was one of the better low budget horror movies from the 80's in my opinion.

I really need to watch Dawn of the Dead beginning to end. I have watched the first 20 minutes about three times and keep getting bored as hell (blasphemy, I know). Night of the Living Dead I have, just haven't finished (it's in storage until October). Sleepaway Camp I may watch.
Other than the fact that Sleepaway Camp *MAY* be owned by the director, we don't have any real reason to suspect that it's the next announcement.
Think of all the horror movie's that reverted back to the producers or directors! There's a ton. So, until we get more info, I wouldn't jump onboard the SC train too soon.

I'm standing pat with Society as being the solo title. It's a Jeff Nelson favorite, it's not officially spoken for to my knowledge and, if I read correctly, it's being scanned at 5K for the upcoming German and UK releases.
Any recommendations for me? I'm about to start my two month long Horror MovieFest.
I do the very same thing, from Sep 1st to Oct 31st. I slow down watching horror in the mid-summer and then save it all for those two months. I would suggest Stephen King's Silver Bullet. It's a classic good time.
