I'm not even sure if it should be counted as being amongst the Universal Monsters films or not. It's an outlier for sure. It definitely doesn't have the same feel or look that any of the others do and I don't think it was included in either the Shock Theater or Son of Shock TV packages that ran in the late 50's.

Oh. I liked Corey Feldman in it. I want them to make Jason Vs. Jarvis just so he can have another shot (it might happen by early 2015). I thought that it had awesome characters and a downright brutal death scene (the guy in the shower).

By the way, '84 was a good year for Corey Feldman. Aside from Final Chapter, he co-starred in my favorite film of all-time, Gremlins (an odd choice, but I have my reasons).

Which Jason would you have put on the set cover? I choose Hodder from 7. A weaker film, yes, but the best looking Jason.

It certainly looked promising but unfortunately it just wasn't a very good flick. Shame because I was looking forward to it for a few years but there's just no denying it wasn't great, definitely check it out and see if it's up your alley though.

Oh the usuals:
An American Werewolf In London, Suspiria, Brain Damage, Basket Case, Night of The Living Dead (1968), A Nightmare On Elm St., Eyes Without a Face, The Haunting, the Val Lewton Horror Movies, Universal Monsters, aaand the Lost Boys.
Those are all the musts for sure!

And on the big screen I'm catching Dario Argento's Inferno, Haxan: Witchcraft Throughout the Ages (with a live score!), Abbot And Costello Meet Frankenstein and The Wicker Man.

OH! And I also have a ticket to see Goblin
Its gonna be a great month!

I wouldn't have put any of the Jasons on the cover, just the goalie mask. Somewhat akin to the following layout for The Final Chapter, but with a film accurate markings and battle damage:

All three are. Scanners and Eraserhead were hinted at in the New Years drawing for this year but didn't materialize. Looks like we'll have to wait for next year on those.

Unfortunately, I'm used to it by now. I've been waiting for Y Tu Mama Tambien for over 3 years now...

The amazing Under The Dome finale was tonight, so fingers crossed we'll get some type of Stephen King project announcement from Scream Factory in the coming months.

I'm in the mood for some King on blu!!

I think Family Video is around 20 shipped for Prince of Darkness. Amazon is just under 21. Those were the best I could find.

The prowler and the burning are better than the entire friday the 13th franchise put together. F13 movies are like slashers that had their balls removed.

Friday The 13th movies for me are just body count movies.

Don't care for the characters or plot, just want to watch people die, and they've got such high body counts it makes it all worth while?

While buying my copy of F13 at BB I saw this on the shelf and almost picked it up but my better judgment took hold. I almost never blind-buy anything these days so I'm glad to hear I didn't make a mistake. Very few people today have the talent necessary to make really good films - it's almost as if they make these movies on an assembly line, just crankin' 'em out by the dozens. THE ICEMAN, with Michael Shannon - now that was a good movie.

FamilyVideo appears to be the better deal once you factor in s/h.

Be careful what you say! They can hold that against you in a court of law (lol).

I've had the worst experiences with Import Cd's. They send everything out shrinkwrapped - no bubble mailer, no protection of any kind. Absolutely crappy, awful shipping. They're on my 'NEVER buy from' list.

Pay more and get it anywhere else - it's worth it.
