I think they'll announce Grey Gardens, Scanners, The Brood, and Eraserhead, to round out some of their creepier films.

(Yes, Grey Gardens.... Terrifying! )
You must be ecstatic right about now.

I'm a recent convert to the Scream Factory cult. I bought "The Fog" and was so impressed I ordered Halloweens 2&3 as well as Prince of Darkness.

The Fog was so nicely done, from the cover art to all of the supplements, that ill probably be adding more to my collection.

I regret not getting in early, and I'm really looking forward to what they'll have to offer.

I am!

Its such a creepy film, because its real and kinda sad, it just strikes me on a weird side that's just so bizarre. It gives me chills, tbh.

But the other announcement that got me excited is kino's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920).

At least there's a new UK Delta Force Blu-ray special edition coming in 2014. Maybe it'll inspire Shout to follow suit.

That is a pretty exciting release. I am a little surprised it's getting the Blu upgrade ahead of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, though.

I know right, I don't think it has an HD Master yet though, but most of the silent films were already in HiDef just not on blu-ray.

Caligari is the last big one that definitely needs an upgrade.

My Halloween marathon has already started... Already viewed "Tower of Evil", "The Unseen", "The Black Waters of Echo's Pond", "Insidious", "Insidious: Chapter 2" planning on cutting into "Murders in the Rue Morgue" tonight. I love this time of year

Courtesy of Scream Factory's Facebook page:

"The Horror Show" Blu-Ray has been pushed back roughly two weeks to 11/26 in order to include a brand new commentary track with producer Sean S. Cunningham. More extras will be revealed later this month.

Right on! What was your opinion of Black Waters of Echo's Pond? I've seen a lot of bad reviews but damned if it doesn't look promising. I'm looking forward to Insidious 2!

Definitely check out this horror movie challenge; for about ~7 years now a few of us try to watch 100+ movies each October. It's a lot of fun.

There's not a lot of common ground for The Blair Witch Project, some love it, some hate it.

Friday the 13th Part 2 is one of the best in the series, my #1, while Part VIII and Jason Goes to Hell are among the worst.

Freddy vs. Jason is not a favorite of mine for either series and it loses something on repeat viewing. For a first time viewing, it can be pretty fun.

I haven't seen Let Me In, but Let the Right One In, the film it's based on, is excellent.

Near Dark is one of the better 80's vampire movies. Probably a winner if you like The Lost Boys.

I'm not a fan of the 1943 version of The Phantom of the Opera with Claude Rains. Far too much opera, far too little Phantom.

I'm assuming you mean The Prophecy (1995) with Christopher Walken and not Prophecy (1979), which I haven't seen. It's one of the better mid-90's horror movies. That's kind of damning praise, but it is pretty good.

Terror Train is probably my 2nd favorite of the films on the list, behind F13 Part 2. Pure early 80's slasher goodness.

So far... my favorite Friday the 13th is The Final Chapter, followed by Jason Lives, and Jason X. I only have to see 2, 5, 8, 9, and Freddy Vs. Jason. I have not yet seen The Lost Boys. I would have seen the 43 Phantom already, as Svengoolie was showing it this past Saturday, but I fell asleep halfway through. And yes. I did mean the Christopher Walken one. I'll be fine as long as it's better than The Reflecting Skin (a sure contender for worst horror film I've ever seen).

Phantom '43 is a good film, just not a good horror film.

The Final Chapter is my second favorite in the series. Were it not for Corey Feldman and a wonky editing choice, it would be my #1. If you like The Final Chapter, you should definitely give The Prowler a try. It's another Joseph Zito/Tom Savini director/fx pairing.

Last year I watched 47 horror movies in October. It really depends on ones personal time. I usually dont start until October. Main reason is Im Bi-genreal I need to watch and take in some of my classics and my sci fi stuff before I dip in an all Horror, month which is all of October for me
(technically I watch horror movies all year long but October is 99% to 100% horror)
