Nosferatu will be part of the Scream line, per the podcast. Also, it sounds like the rest of the Herzog line won't necessarily ALL be on Blu ray.

They didn't ever say they'd be including it. And its very unlikely they can strike a deal with Warner for it.

But I wouldn't rule out Warner releasing the Theatrical Cut, probably bare bones, themselves, to cash-in.

Never heard of RT or N3. Maybe too many others didn't either?

They need to learn how to take constructive criticism without getting emotional. More than a few of their releases are a mish mosh of good and bad PQ. Listen to the fair and constructive criticism and don't take it personally. Of course customers saying something "sucks" is not, so I can understand some of his anger.

That's too bad. "The Gate" is a fun little film.

They made a mistake. Should have done it and then released on agreed date. Now too late according to Cliff.

My extremely vapid film review of Rolling Thunder:

[Show spoiler]Wow. Rolling Thunder is hands down one of the best film ever made, imo of course.
A classic!

The blu-ray even has a brand new Shout Factory exclusive interview with none other than TOMMY LEE JONES! It's sooooo gorgeous on BD.

Hard to believe anyone hasn't heard of it, or that its selling poorly! If it were in the scream line I think it'd probably have sold more.

Never once do they say specifically that the Theatrical Cut will definitely be included. They actually have doged giving an answer because they didn't know if they would be able to get it from Warner, multiple times on Facebook and Twitter.

I bet SF couldn't get it, but it wouldn't surprise me if WB is prepping it for release around the same time as SF releases the Cabal Cut.

Especially considering Shout will be striking a new HD Master for the Theatrical Cut to build upon with the Cabal footage. No way Warner wouldn't want a piece of that. Lol.

Regarding "Rolling Thunder" to anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a very good, somewhat short and to the point grindhouse revenge story. There's a reason at one time Quentin Tarantino released some films under a "Rolling Thunder Pictures" banner, because he loves it and it's a really awesome film.

Blind buy it, it needs the sales.

Lots of BD owners just don't understand the struggle it is to get catalog releases to sell in this format, and Shout isn't likely to continue releasing all of these if they're not turning a profit.

They might be, ultimately, better off moving to a limited copy model and selling directly through the Shout store. Less risk for them -- sucks for us, but it'd be better than seeing releases like these die away, which is the alternative.
Yes, and do the limited edition Blu on non genre titles, like comedies and dramas. Wish I had done the TT approach on some of my blu's.Lets just say I approved the pressing of POM POM GIRLS and BEACH GIRLS today with regret.

Was there really a lot of demand for Rolling Thunder, Deadly Blessing, or Ninja 3? If there was I don't remember seeing it. Either way I did my part and bought all three. Ninja 3 was a strange release as it was part 3 of a small cult trilogy. They should have released all three parts together like already mentioned. Who wants to only own the third film of a franchise!?
