I'm personally hoping for a Blu-ray of Kingdom of the Spiders.

I couldn't think of anything before your post - it's got to be Kingdom of the Spiders they're re-doing. Slumber Party Massacre would've been nice but it's a trilogy. Do one and you gotta do 'em all.

My gut feeling says Eve of Destruction is going to bomb (pun slightly intended) in sales..I dont know about Cat People or Saturn III either. I know there is a market for every title released the question is how big. Im sure Nightbreed will be a good seller.
Yeah Eve of Destruction and Saturn III are rough choices if they are expecting great sales from. They may have got the titles cheap though and are only expecting moderate sales. Cat People might do well, I think it has a pretty solid fan base, might not do as well as some of the other collector's editions though. I think Scream definitely needs to keep expanding their title choices though, there are still some great 80's-90's American Horror but they eventually are going to get to a point where something fresh is going to be needed(variety if you will)...kind of like what Arrow is doing. I am with you Dsman on the Italian Horror genre but that is because of my personal taste as well but being objective the variety has to come from somewhere. And they are starting to so I hope the trend continues and their catalog continues to expand and evolve.
I'm not sure what the sales expectations are for Eve and Saturn III, but keep in mind that both films are part of large, multi-film deals with MGM and ITV respectively. The risk to Shout! is at least somewhat mitigated by other, bigger films or overperforming films in those respective deals. Cat People is new to Blu-Ray, but it did have North American DVD and HD-DVD releases, so there is relevant sales data to indicate how it probably should perform for it's North American Blu-Ray debut.

With regards to the Italian films, it's not a matter of whether they'll sell as many units as compared to certain lesser domestic counterparts, but whether they'll sell enough units to recoup the costs involved with the licensing, commissioning of transfers and extras and other costs specifically inherent to international films. I've never read exact figures, but just about every independent home video distributor has commented at one time or another that the Italians place a high premium on the licensing rights for their films. Those total costs probably far exceed the costs for licensing and releasing Eve or Saturn III.

Yeah, but isn't Cannibal Girls already out in Canada through a different label? It would seem like something already in HD would be a must to upgrade.

Maybe the did a new transfer and it looked "even better" than the current HD master? Just throwing out possibilities.

On the newest KillerPOV podcast (which I'm glad is picking up more fans), I think they mentioned that Jeff was pulling for Saturn 3 (or maybe eve of Destruction) and that's the only real reason it's getting released on blu-ray.

Not that I'm upset about that, I'm buying them all, the more blu the better! Lol.

Yeah it was released by Warner Music. I own it but haven't watched it yet so I can't judge on the transfer. It includes the following special features:

-Interviews with Eugene Levy, Ivan Reitman, and Daniel Goldberg

-"Orientation" (short film)

- Alternate audio track featuring the "Warning Bell"

- Original trailer

I think that it is either Cannibal Girls or Slumber Party Massacre. A good way to test the waters for Massacre is by releasing the first film alone, seeing if it sells well, and then thinking about a double of 2&3.

Couldn't it be either Bad Dreams or Visiting Hours...or did they say it wasn't one of them?

I personally am not a huge fan of it, but just think it was part of the 2nd Universal Deal, which we'll see more of in 2014, presumably.
I'd love this one too.
"Ernest, you pushed me down the stairs."

Raising Cain would also be appreciated.

Would the the DVD sales on Cannibal Girls merit going back to the OCN and having a new HD master created when there's already an existing North American Blu-Ray out there? It sounds a little far-fetched to me, but stranger things have happened.

I don't think so. It apparently is a title that hasn't been announced yet.

I love Raising Cain, one of my favorite films from Universal.
If scream released it, It'd be a day one for me. Wonderfully creepy poster too.

I'd love to see Bad Moon as well, but it seems highly unlikely because the rights are with Warner.

Has Ladyhawke come out internationally, because it sure hasn't shown up in the US. Shout wouldn't be able to get Ladyhawke anyhow, it's a Warner release.
