Yeah, Killer Party is so underrated. I love the twist ending. Yes, its with the Warner Archives burn on demand.

Oh cool, I'll be getting the Scorpion Blu ray of HOSR. I wish Scorpion would also release Final Exam on Blu ray.

I'm glad he's releasing films, even if they are limited, offer no tracking, and are only sold from his site, at higher prices than they should be.

But he's not a pleasant person. Even blasting peoples personal shipping info for all the world to see, just because he's mad.
He hasnt been an A-hole to me and I havent had any problems. As long as he provides good service which he has to me, that's all i can comment on him. I think he is fed up with international buyers so he is mailing things with tracking now. The address he blasted came from an unauthorized purchase. He was pissed..hell who wouldn't be when there is a chargeback ? That's losing money not making money.

I know Scream Factory generally releases older films with the exception of the Chiller films, but I'd really like to see them release The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007).

It was given a limited theatrical release in 2007 and early 2008, but has never been released on DVD or Blu-ray - anywhere - since. It's from the director of Quarantine and Devil, and I frequently see it on lists of the most disturbing films ever made. It was distributed by MGM, who Scream has an ongoing relationship with. I guess their financial difficulties at the time explain why the film was never given a home video release. Maybe it would draw in a new fanbase for Scream who normally only watch newer films. Anyway, it'd be cool

I wouldn't mind seeing a "lost films" line from Scream Factory that consisting of films like The Poughkeepsie Tapes that had no release or very limited release or films like Cherry Falls and that was only released in a significantly altered manner from what was originally intended.

Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut already pretty much fits that description.

I would love to see this released by Scream. I remember seeing the trailer before some horror flick I can't remember and finding it to be very creepy.

I've had no problems with Bill and Code Red at all. His product is usually very good and delivered promptly. I live in the US, which probably helps.

There are so many great labels these days. My faves:

Shout/Scream Factory
Code Red
Vinegar Syndrome
Scorpion
Synapse
Twilight Time

I like the various studio MOD labels, too.

So... I miss the weekly announcements. Still. A lot. When will they return? Will they ever return? They, according to Frightener22, still have some unannounced MGM stuff that he was told about a year ago. Also (possibly) the title from the unpleasantness that occurred yesterday. They may or may not have more as well.

I don't think we'll see weekly announcements again.

It seems like a tall order to expect announcements every week, doesn't it? What about the 1st of every month? Then at least they'd be substantial. Or heck, random happy surprises would be welcome.

Of course, what would we all talk about for an entire time in-between? This thread might dissolve into wishlists and random questions, general horror queries and the ever-present slipcover dilemmas... oh wait.

Yeah, unsure if weekly announcements will ever return but I doubt it. Like many have said, it's a tall order to make good on consistently. There's plenty of good stuff planned and more new deals and avenues being worked on so sit tight and let 2014 blow your mind

I am tired of the random announcements. They always get my hopes up for more and the waiting game commences again.

In other news, the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, MA is doing a showing of They Live next Friday around 9:45 PM. Just for the record. I just found out about it today, when I got my free tickets to a preview screening of Inside Llewyn Davis tomorrow, with a Q&A with Oscar Isaac afterwords.

I'm happy so far, already. I just wish that they did it. Hell, one every other Friday would work for me. It is less, and is pretty much just giving what they do now a schedule.

I thought Walter from Scorpion said that Bill at Code Red had the blu ray rights, and he only had the DVD.

Yeah that was most unpleasant. It made me speak out more than I wanted to because of it. I am sure that other users would have copied and pasted the comment/exclamation that I read on Facebook onto here.
I was really reluctant to share what I read because I started to feel like it was not the right thing to do..I felt a lot of karma and when I feel like that about anything I put on the brakes I think it was wrong of the user to say something he probably shouldn't have and in turn wrong for me to share what I read because it could just be another rumor like the Shout factory having Godzilla titles which has been shot down once and for all.

At any rate I am sure that we will get announcements whenever they are allowed to do so. I too miss the weekly announcements...and I miss the hints too.
The truth is there are probably so many rights issues and behind the scenes things that we know nothing about that either give them the green light to announce something...or the hold off on it. Sometimes Ive read the answers to user inquires about movie rights, announcements being complex.

Sorority Row is definitely coming, already been confirmed numerous times.

But Final Exam is with Code Red. Hopefully if they release it, it will have all the extras and then possibly the Kat segment, even though its more Scorpion. DVD rights are with Scorp though...

Finally watched this last night on YouTube and really found it creepy. Also watched Ricky 6 which was also great but in a completely different way then Tapes. I love if they'd release this in the future.
