Agreed. Olive, KINO and RARO have them also. I've tried to help keep the info handy by adding links to this thread and the other upcoming SF releases that have their own threads, to my forum signature. Besides, any extra attention I can help bring their releases = possibly more sales for them and more movies for us.

Getting read to watch The Evictors.

Any chance for The Midnight Hour in the future? Supposedly MGM bought the rights from Anchor Bay in 2007 and never released it. The Anchor Bay version goes for a ton on Amazon.

Awesome news! and talk about a surprise with 2 titles. Very excited to hear about "The Evictors" and "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" marks two weeks in a row that I guessed right. Scream Factory certainly knows how to please my senses Can't wait to see these flicks!

A lot of people are very happy right now

I remember renting TTTDS thinking it was a vampire movie. I don't remember much about the film now but I'll definitely grab a copy -I'm sure it's worth a revisit. To the people who were complaining that Shout wasn't announcing big titles, is this one "big" enough for you?

Nope, when I think big I think The Incredible Melting Man, the Fog, The Howling, Carrie, Psycho 2,3 & 4 , Without Warning and titles they arent releasing like Fright Night 2
These are all 2nd tier titles to me and some are good, some arent depending on taste...These do peak my curiosity though and at least these titles are getting a first crack in the DVD Blu Ray market...and for that alone is a positive thing

Since you're on a roll, do me a favor and predict Lifeforce or The Burning for next Friday.

I thought the same thing for years until I finally watched it. Then I was kinda like, what the... this isn't what I was expecting. lol It was a bit of a letdown, cause I thought it was going to be something like a town being besieged by vampires at night (like the much more recent 30 Days of Night).

Haha believe me both of those are titles I'd die to see Scream Factory end up with. I can only imagine what a custom cover art for "The Burning" would like like

Depending on next week's guess, I'm not sure how lucky I can be three weeks in a row haha If I had to assume anything, I'd say it's not going to be a higher-profile title like "Halloween II" or "They Live", I think there going to stay the course next week and announce something that hasn't hit DVD yet. Nonetheless, this week's announcement was amazing especially with the surprise announcement of "The Evictors". I've always loved the poster artwork for that one and have been tempted many times to pick up a bootleg at conventions to just see the damn thing. Glad I resisted!

Ya know... The more I'm thinking about it there may even be a chance that Scream Factory decides to do a 360 and announce their first sci-fi related title. If they continue the trend of announcing never before on DVD titles then perhaps "Without Warning" would be a very pleasant surprise next week.

Given their relationship with MGM, I'd be thrilled with a SE BD for Night of the Comet.

Good call! I can definitely see that coming in the future to include some more sci-fi related titles into the series.

God yes! Please for the love of Zombies and the Apocalypse and....Valley Girls! Make it so! It's not like it doesn't have some horror elements to it. I'd like to upgrade the dvd that took forever and a day to come out. I loved this movie as a kid, yeah, right next to Phantasm and Star Wars (hey, it's Star Wars!)....

Thus far from MGM we have:

The Nest (Concorde Pictures)
TerrorVision (Empire Pictures)
Prison (Empire Pictures)
The Video Dead (Avco Embassy Pictures)
Town that Dreaded Sundown (American International Pictures)
The Evictors (American International Pictures)

None of these films have been released on DVD by MGM before and none were produced under the MGM/UA umbrella. (Note: The Nest was released on DVD, but that was by New Concorde in 2001 with a full frame transfer.)

I'm thinking once we get through their never before released by MGM titles we'll start seeing the OOP MGM DVDs and then maybe the in-print, never domestically released to Blu titles.

OOP MGM DVDs:

Lifeforce (Cannon Films)
The Burning (Miramax)
From Beyond (Empire Pictures)
Night of the Comet (Thomas Coleman and Michael Rosenblatt Productions)
Squirm (American International Pictures)
Sometimes They Come Back (Dino de Laurentiis Communications)

In-Print titles, never domestically released to Blu:

The Fog (Avco Embassy Pictures)
The Howling / The Howling II (Avco Embassy Pictures)
AIP Roger Corman Films (American International Pictures)
AIP Vincent Price Films (American International Pictures)
The Incredible Melting Man (American International Pictures)
New Year's Evil (Cannon Films)
Ghoulies / Ghoulies II (Empire Pictures)
