My prediction was correct last week for "The Video Dead" but seriously I have no inside information but I just have a gut feeling that it will be simply because this is the first 70s movie that Scream Factory is doing and it's never been released on DVD before and the fact that there releasing MGM titles also makes me feel that this film has a strong chance for being the announced title. Plenty of people on Scream Factory's Facebook page are assuming it's "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" too. If its not, then tomorrow will be another great surprise for me.

Town That Dreaded Sundown makes sense and would be my personal preference, but I wonder if they might throw a surprise and do something from the 90s. The Vagrant would be fantastic, and I think MGM might have that one.

The Evictors is another one I'd like.

I believe early on it was mentioned that the Scream Factory line would primarily focus on the 1970s-1980s but that there would be a few exceptions so you might get lucky.

Not that many, considering non-80's, meaning most likely 70's and not released on DVD.. and from MGM. If you have a list of other likely candidates, please so list them. I'm not trying to be funny. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a list of definitely possibilities, rather then wish lists containing titles that don't belong to MGM.

Like it's been said, The Town That Dreaded Sundown has been mentioned/requested by quite a few people and to the best of my knowledge, was never shot down with a "no, sorry".

I know it's not going to happen, but I wish it would be an unreleased (to blu ray in region 1 anyway) Brian De Palma film like Phantom of the Paradise, The Fury, Body Double, or Raising Cain.

DVDEmpire.com just had a 20% off sale where these were sub $20 may want to keep an eye on that site though - they have some decent deals every once in a while.

I got Halloween III on blu ray from Meijers department store last week for 19.99. It wasn't a sale price, so if anyone lives by one and wants that or Halloween II check it out.

Here's something of interest:

"Warner Bros. to Distribute 600 Paramount Titles"

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=95546

My main concern is if the Paramount owned "Friday the 13th" titles were swept up in this deal. If so, then that all but puts the final nail in the coffin for Scream Factory or anyone else getting the rights to them. I feel like a franchise such as "Friday the 13th" would have been mentioned in the press release since other high-profile franchises such as "Indiana Jones", "Transformers" and "Star Trek" were. Maybe that leaves a little hope that Paramount has retained the rights and at least they are company who is willing to license titles out. Shout Factory has successfully landed deals with them plenty of times ranging from the "Walking Tall" trilogy to the classic Nickelodeon cartoons.

Never thought that would happen or that Paramount would license them to a niche distributor anyway.

Yeah, it's sad but true. I just don't understand why Paramount doesn't give a compay like Scream Factory exclusive Blu-ray rights since they clearly have cold feet with how the series will continue to perform on the format. In addition, Paramount can retain the DVD rights so they can continue milking the franchise in DVD collections they continuously re-release year after year. Seems like a win win to me.

Whats to say the Friday the 13th titles aren't part of the deal? Now instead of Shout Factory, it will be Warners. Warners is known for putting out pretty decent SE material.

Yeah, that's the one benefit if they are under Warner's control that we'll see a complete box set. I really hope that they beef out the special features on them if it comes to fruition.

I think frightener22 is going to guess right two weeks in a row. Im going with his pick. Just watched Deadly Blessing last night for the first time on standard def on netflix and that movie kicked some serious ass. I love how the ending got really wild. Did not see that coming.

Twilight Time and Criterion both have stickies, Scream Factory deserves one too by now

I think I was the only one who called The Evictors! Really happy to see both titles finally come to dvd/blu-ray.

I think next week we will get Without Warning.
