Can I get some help?

What would be the definitive Halloween 2 Bluray? The Universal BD or the Scream Factory BD?

Also, should I bother with the Anchor Bay Halloween '78 BD or just wait for an eventual re-release?

Yes... its October and I wants me some Halloween related BDs

IMO, the SCREAM Factory release is the way to go. As far as Anchor Bay with the original 'Halloween', it is extremely detailed and sharp. You can get it at Wal-Mart for $7.88. Might as well get it.

Yeah, there's really no question, Scream Factory's edition is the way to go. Transfer is even more improved plus the wealth of extras you get with it. For those that don't know yet but the Universal Vault will be releasing "Terror in the Aisles" as a MOD in the future if that makes passing on the Universal "Halloween II" release any easier.

4) Curtains: Unfortunately, Echo Bridge has the rights.
5) Night School: Warner has the rights and they released a remastered MOD release (it actually looks great even if got the MOD treatment). Unfortunately, Warner doesn't license they're titles.

Thank you for this update!

That blows! I've been wanting to see this flick for years but the original DVD has been OOP for so long and fetches pretty high prices now. Cliff, how has Lionsgate's relationship been with licensing out titles? Or are they just has protective as Warner is?

A MOD means manufactured on demand. It's basically what Warner Archives, Universal Vault, MGM Limited Editions, etc. specialize in. They are DVD-R's that are made to order and aren't factory pressed like the DVDs / Blu-ray's you would buy in Target or Best Buy.

Just watched my SF Halloween II BD this weekend and it blew me away! Cliff, tell the guys good work on this. Have yet to watch the TV cut but looking forward to that as an added bonus. Great special features too, btw.

I am so incredibly bummed that I can't get HII OR HHIII at decent prices anywhere. $25 is just too much. Amazon's not giving these anywhere *near* their usual discount. I mean, 17%? Come on! And NONE of the big box retailers near me carry them, either. ::sigh:: Depressing...

Yeah, the Shout Blu-rays tend to get a little high shortly after their release date. My advice is always pre-order their stuff if you want them because most of the time your getting the best deal right there.

Next spring, go BALListic with Don Coscarelli's PHANTASM II. Coming to DVD & Blu-ray (on BD for the first time) as a Collector's Edition! Extras and street date to be announced at a further date.

Amazon had Halloween 2 & 3 for $19.99 from about June until sometime in September after they were released. I ordered both on Sept. 19th @ $19.99 each. Maybe when it's closer to Halloween, they will have them for $19.99 again.

I'm gonna go ahead and put my money on "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" again for tomorrows guess. Definitely would make sense. "Willard" is another possibility too but I'm pretty confident it's "The Town That Dreaded Sundown".

Has anybody's prediction actually come true? Not trying to be snarky, but what makes you pretty confident that its The Town the Dreaded Sundown?

That describes a multitude of titles.
