Scream Factory commented about "Curtains" and "Prom Night" in the comments section to the Jamie Lee Curtis/Horrorhound post. They mentioned that they have tried contact with Echo Bridge about them but they haven't gotten back to them. They suggested we should try emailing them to let Echo Bridge know there is a demand to see this deal happen. I shot them an email last night so maybe if more people do, there's a better chance of seeing these end up with Scream Factory.

Cliff, kudos to you and Shout Factory for bringing on Blu yet another underrated gem The Seven-Per-Cent Solution.

Now,here's a question about Universal non-horror deal. It's obvious (more or less) that your company is strictly obliged to put out on Blu titles that were previously released as a part of Universal Vault Series only (The Seven-Per-Cent Solution,Sometimes a Great Notion,Portrait of a Lady).Am i wrong about this?

Btw,are any of the following Universal Vault Series titles on SF's horizon?Thx.

Blue Collar (1978 – Dir: Paul Schrader, with Richard Pryor & Harvey Keitel)
Gambit (1966 – Dir: Ronald Neame, with Michael Caine & Shirley MacLaine
The Brink’s Job (1978 – Dir: William Friedkin, with Peter Falk)
The List Of Adrian Messenger (1963 – Dir: John Huston, with George C. Scott)
Resurrection (1980 – Dir: Daniel Petrie, with Ellen Burstyn)
The Secret War Of Harry Frigg (1968 – Dir: Jack Smight, with Paul Newman)
Ulzana’s Raid (1972 – Dir: Robert Aldrich, with Burt Lancaster)
Tarantula (1955 – Dir: Jack Arnold, with John Agar)
Tobruk (1967 - Rock Hudson, George Peppard and Nigel Green)
The House of the Seven Gables

and A Bronx Tale

Cheers!
No, not strictly obliged. We have announced all of our Universal titles.

Sounds like it but I'm sure this isn't the end all be all for Universal. With Shout's recent deal with them it would seem the relationship has been a positive one so I'm sure in the future negotiating for more films is something Universal will probably consider with them. I certainly hope so at least

cmac, why only release the Jackie Chan films (Crime Story, The Protector) as a double feature?
I would love to get those as individual relaeses. Is there any chance they could be released by themselves as exclusives through the ShoutFactory website?

I absolutely love it.
I bought all the other movies from Gary Jones since I saw it back in the days.
I even ran screenings for my friends of the DVD.
It's brillant. One of the last and one of the very best "latex monsters B-movie" that screams his TRUE love of the genre!!!

It should have been Shout Factory that released it, at least it would have come with some extras....
It didn't matter who licensed Christine, Sony makes sure the licensee contractually adheres to their demand that NO movie includes extras. CMAC also commented on this earlier when asked why they didn't license from Sony and how it was a deal breaker.

1) Hell Night: I'm not sure who has the rights of this one, so maybe...
2) Tourist Trap: I actually think this one could be an actual possibility...
3) Road Games: I'm pretty sure AB still has the rights...
4) Curtains: Unfortunately, Echo Bridge has the rights.
5) Night School: Warner has the rights and they released a remastered MOD release (it actually looks great even if got the MOD treatment). Unfortunately, Warner doesn't license they're titles.

Tourist Trap might show up through Full Moon - they've been reissuing some of their titles on Blu-ray via their own site lately. I'm also hoping for it to make an appearance on the format - very effective horror flick. Road Games is controlled by StudioCanal, not sure if AB still has the rights. Didn't like the movie much - felt too much like a DUEL ripoff, just not as good.

I know it's a newer film, but still a great horror/drama/comedy, what about a Bluray of Bubba Ho-tep! You could probably record some new features with Coscarelli when you doing the features for the Phatasm films, and Bruce Campbell is usually down with doing extras.

Also, not sure who owns it, but I have heard good things (In a so bad it's good way) about Death Spa (1989). I would pick that up for Ken Foree alone.

Yeah I did see that. But honestly I don't have that much faith in EB. I did buy and like their single disc releases of The Faculty and Darkness but they've released too many movies with incorrect AR's and such. Anyhow, below are comments I remembered (from this thread):

How about Silent Night, Deadly Night? Wouldn't mind having that one on BD. Another I'd like to see some day, The Incredible Melting Man!

Anyone have an idea how long Echo Bridge has on their licenses' for "Prom Night" or "Curtains"? I'm really surprised they haven't attempted a Blu-ray release of their own for "Prom Night". I really wish Scream Factory could save this film from them.

Cliff has already said no Silent Night, Deadly Night at this point. Which sucks, I want that on Blu-Ray sooooo bad. I'm holding out hope for an Arrow UK release, that would RULE!

I think Cliff said they contacted Echo Bridge about it but they never heard back from them.
