I get the Criterion thing too. I personally would never use them for my collection since the Criterion template does nothing for me. But I get why people want consistency in their collection.

My local Best Buy has the Criterion Blu-rays sitting together on their own shelf so there obviously is some appeal to some people.

To each his own

I personally totally 'get' the criterion thing. I don't do it, but I do get it. And I think the key is choosing cool images.
I agree with you. Even with the language barrier, he came off very rude. Might not have been his intention but I took it as a slap in the face.

I also agree about getting the right images for my covers. There are a bunch of movies I want to do but i haven't found any images worthy of doing one for that title. It just has to feel right to me when I make it. So far, I think I've found images that fit in with the theme of what I'm doing.

And I would love for people to send me suggestions for cool covers. I also will make movies of your choosing for a small fee. Just for time and labor.

Since the actual cover art for Savages is such a disappointment, a design like this could look fantastic after a little work. The original poster art was great!

Are you planning to do a Moonrise Kingdom cover? I would like that since Criterion will probably not release it ever.

One thing I would like to see from your covers is the reverse artwork like on actual criterions. I would consider throwing a few dollars your way to put some together. Especially for The Tree Of Life.

Also, screw the haters.

Actually, it's very likely Moonrise kingdom will get a criterion release since every other Wes Anderson film has been released by them.

sup guys, i had a bit of time this evening to screw around with my Vanishing Point cover. i will probably change the back cover credits to white to stand out a little better. still have to add some features and storyline and binding title. oh well, not great but not bad either. i am starting to have a lot of fun coming up with different covers. its starting to get addictive.

So here's a question for you guys. Is anyone updating the list of cover art folks have created? I don't know if the OP is still around and was just wondering.

^I would be interested in seeing an updated post like that. It would take some time though.

Does anyone have any custom Killer Klowns From Outer Space artwork? I would be interested in downloading a custom cover.

not really an oversatuation, but i messed with the levels to try and give the picture a hand drawn look. i want to give it a sort of rustic and gritty look, and when i started playing with levels, i found that it gave me the best look. i want to sort of give it a bit of a 70s look.

Trean? I'm afraid I haven't seen the likes of him around in quite awhile unfortunately. Not sure if he comes to this site anymore, or euphoricfx.org for that matter. In order to have the OP updated, exhaustively, they'd have to change the OP to someone else. I don't think it's worth it personally. Too much time to spend going back through countless pages and keeping track of the ones not on the list.

That's what I was afraid of. I don't think it has to be that much of a hassle. The OP shouldn't even be a factor in it. They've done it to a certain point. Maybe instead of updating the list from where they left off members could simple create a list of their work in one of their posts. Clearly there are current contributors that keep this thread active. Might save some of us the hassle of asking you guys if you've done something

ripped out a quicky this evening short, sweet and to the point. very simple, but looks creepy, and looks a hell of a lot better than the original bluray release that i have with all that stupid silver and blue blu ray stuff and whatnot stamped and thrown all over the place. when i get back from afghanistan, this one will be in the place of the old cover for sure.

nothing needs to be said about Halloween, and i feel nothing needs to be written on it. if you don't know it, then there is something wrong with ya. one of the greatest horror movies of all time.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their messages a month ago after I was laid off.

I have received a job offer as a Consultant for a large multinational corporation which starts later this month.

I am going to take a short break until then concentrating on my graduate school studies to get as far ahead as possible so as not to distract from my new job.

Man, glad to hear that you've got a happy ending to your story Drrn. I'm a stay at home dad and wondered what I'm going to do once my son starts school. I loved being a merchandiser, but it didn't pay enough. So we decided that this was the way to go.

I see what you mean Brytor and nice job. Can't wait to see the final product.

I am in need of some help, I have some covers saved but they are .rar files and I have no clue how to even begin downloading them or saving them for printing. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to take the .rar files and possibly change them to .jpg and e-mail them back to me, Thanks in advance if anyone can help

A *.rar file is a compressed file, a data container used to store one or more files in compressed form. If you don't already have a program that can uncompress RAR files I highly recommend WinRAR which can be downloaded here.
