I dont think I have any Criterion movies, but I do like the uniformity of the covers and the designs that have been created using those templates.

Personally I like seeing all of the different designs, even if the I dont like the cover very much, I enjoy seeing the creativity that goes into it.

I think what most people respond to in the Criterion layout is the rigid structure, uniformity and easy customization. People don't necessarily associate it with, or reserve it for, art-house cinema any longer. Whenever I use the Criterion layout for something, it's always a bit tongue-in-cheek, naturally.

These are Blu-ray covers for Harmy's despecialized editions, L8wrtr's Prequel Trilogy and Q2's Fall of the Jedi trilogy.

In addition to Star Wars, Indiana Jones fan edits are to follow.
Looks good to me !

Does anyone have a good 15mm cover template? I have one in PSD format, but after printing a cover off it, I am either setting it up wrong, or my template is not the correct size.

Thanks!

Default Custom cover available for Coen Bros. Collection?

It's the "From the Mind of the Coen Brothers" set with Fargo, Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink and Blood Simple. I don't like the bulky boxed set artwork with the four separate cases and would much prefer a scaled-down (or custom) version sized to fit a four-disc Blu-Ray keepcase.

I like this design, but I cut it down to 5 discs, since I don't think the theatrical cut is included on Blu-ray in any releases. Also, as another poster noted, the spine isn't quite wide enough.

If I had one that combined all the discs, I would share it. I might try a custom in the same vein later on, but this was good enough for me to get the discs out of that clunky box.
Actually I think the UK got the theatrical cut on Blu-Ray.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that original design was based on the new Watchmen Ultimate Cut BD Giftset? Which includes the theatrical cut on DVD. Seth is correct though, the UK is the only region free BD theatrical cut of the movie. I've considered replacing it with the UK BD. On a side note, Runner don't get discouraged OK? I think some folks are only members on forums to stir the pot. These are custom covers and I love the look of them. I'd love to have these posters on my walls, but I think I'm running out of wall space. Anyway, chin up and carry on. You are going to get the occasional sour grape who just likes to poke the angry bear.

Imrahil, I hope you don't mind but I used the back special features off your Blade Runner Criterion.

Great covers, I am working on my own Blade runner cover or I would totally use that one. I really dig the new digibook artwork so I am making one using it

Thank you, runner, for posting these FREE Criterion customs. Who cares if you don't like them; don't share your distaste for them, because you look like a jerk when you do. If you don't like them, simply scroll on-- I guarantee you it takes much less effort that way.

I do like how you share as you add some to your FREE downloads page found in your signature. I love how Google+ allows full-size downloads, as opposed to the other photo sharing sites you tried, but I don't like how they don't let us sort by "Recently added", so I frequent this thread solely for that purpose.

Please don't let some ********s ruin the fun it is in looking at your FREE covers.

Yes, I CAPS LOCK FREE because it's just that. The way some of you complain is like he's digging into your wallet. Stop *****in'. Using the same logos and templates as Criterion, it doesn't matter because it's still a custom cover-- What's the name of this thread again?

I kind of have to make them free or I would be sued. . They are not my images. I'm pretty talentless when it comes to art so this is my way of making custom covers and feeling like one of the guys. . Even though, like I said, a monkey could do what I do.

Started to experiment more with using and editing stills for covers rather than using posters, this was one of my first tests. Don't know if I should actually go on with it though. I like the contrast, but just don't know if there's interest in this design so far.

Yeah, but why don't you just remove "The Criterion Collection" title from the covers since they're not criterion releases?

Because then they wouldn't match the real Criterions I do have. Uniformity is what I'm striving for

If anyone is interested I have pre-cut copies of like 90% of the covers runnersdialzero has done (sized for Criterion Cases of course) that i will ship to anyone for free. I switched to a thicker, brighter paper and have re-printed all of the covers.
