I certainly wasn't wanting a carbon copy since I'm pretty critical of that show. After this pilot TWD looks to be on a completely different level as far as the quality goes.

I'm not a fan of The Walking Dead. I really liked the pilot episode of that show, but I lost interest after that episode and gave up on the show after the second episode of season 2.

Saw the pilot episode of Fear, to give it a chance, but I wasn't really intrigued by the characters or the story so far. I will give the show a chance though and watch a few more episodes, but the pilot episode didn't offer anything that really caught my attention.

TWD can be boring at times too. The difference is from the very first episode I had a character I cared about. This didn't grab me, simple as that.

Exactly like the TWD...which is why it will fail...except TWD is one of the biggest shows on TV, if not the biggest. If this is just like TWD, it will not fail.

With that said, I was bored throughout. I will watch a few more episodes to give it a chance, but I kept looking at the run time wondering when it would end. Doesn't help that I'm not a big Kim Dickens fan, either.

Exactly, TWD is a fluke, a one in a billion, a show that shouldn't exist in its current season, cancelled three years ago. TWD already cornered the market on mass market zombie appeal that can pull an audience to an otherwise bland and poorly scripted series. There's not enough to go around to support two.

Pretty much agree the pilot was pretty boring but i will give it one more shot to rewatch it sometime throughout the week to see if that will change when i can watch it on demand.

The Characters were dull and boring so far. Sub-par acting.

I think this is the first time i ever seen a series do a spin-off or prequel at the same time a show is in its current run doing great numbers.

Really rooting hard for the zombies on this one. The characters didn't really hold my attention and anything non-outbreak related felt like it dragged. Hoping it picks up in the next couple weeks.

lol at some junkie who gets hit viciously by a car... should of been broken ribs or ankle or something. Yet hes able to leave the hospital like its nothing a day or 2 later.. Also the fact that is he that delusional of what drugs he took that he doesnt know if what he saw is real?.

cheesy acting feels like true detective season 2 meets zombies.

I knew it... I knew this show was going to get railed by a lot of people. All the stuff that people complain about the Walking Dead, this show has more of it!

Which is why I liked this show... and why I also knew there would be a lot of hate.

People still don't get what Kirkman is doing... and they are mad when the show isn't what they want it to be.

One thing that hurts this show is it can't help but be compared to the Walking Dead. Which guess it should since its a spinoff. What I got from it is its trying to be different and have its own story instead of shadowing TWD. That's going to help it but also hurt it the same amount too.

Thought it was fantastic! A great set up of things to come.
I especially like how in several scenes you could hear emergency vehicle sirens. Whether planned or not, I can only wonder if those sirens were racing to some zombie related incident!

[Show spoiler]Also, are they trying to imply that everyone who got a flu shot is infected? Flu shots were mentioned a few times, and that got me thinking was it only recently deceased humans that turned? Even in TWD did corpses rise from graveyards? I'm inclined to say no, because the show creators always mention how the walkers degrade from season to season.
