As of right now, still cheering on the Zombies hahah if they show up.
I find it weird how in the background, no fires or destruction happening.

Travis needs to step it up.

I'm wondering what is going to happen in FtWD that will cause a huge surge in walker numbers resulting in the military being overrun; right now they seem to be doing pretty well.

I think it's a bit lazy the way the military are portrayed, though I understand them wanting to remove anyone ill, weak or close to death, I just don't believe they would act so callously.

I also don't understand why the person signalling from outside the zone seemed to get shot? Are we supposed to believe the military are just shooting anyone outside the zones? If so, then as I said above, where are the walking dead?

We haven't yet figured out what the military is up to. It's easy to act in a way you wouldn't otherwise act if you have the right motive.

My theory is that the soldiers are just following orders. They've been told that LA is a war zone and that every person, living or dead, is a threat to them and their mission. I do think the shooting of the person outside the fence was strange, unless it had to do with limited resources and supplies. If anything, it was just to show us (and Travis) that the soldiers were not the good guys.

It's also possible the soldiers aren't acting on orders of the Government at all and that they just took advantage of the situation.

I'm partly basing this on the episode of the CDC from TWD and imagining the beginnings of the studies on the focal points of infections.
Why would they think some of the people in that fenced zone have a resistance. There hasn't been anything to indicate that...

Everything with Alicia and Chris in this episode was a boring waste of time. I'm not interested in watching two bratty teenagers play dress up.

I want them to take the anthology approach with Fear the Walking Dead. By the season finale of the first season of The Walking Dead, I cared about a lot of characters. Here, I wouldn't miss these characters if we never saw any of them again after next week's season finale.

And I'm pretty ticked that this show was supposed to show the fall, but then it pulled that nine day jump... bypassing all the things I wanted to see. By next season, this show would most likely just be "The Walking Dead: L.A.," so what's the point? Just do an anthology with different characters each season. That would be interesting and it would keep Fear from becoming just a lesser version of The Walking Dead.

I like this show, but it's just not as engaging or as interesting as The Walking Dead. The biggest flaw is the characters. Rick, Daryl, Morgan, Shane, Merle... the first season of The Walking Dead offered up a bunch of characters who were interesting and engaging to watch. Fear has been lacking in a lot of areas. Nothing that can't be fixed, but I'd really like to see the anthology route.

Why didn't they show the
[Show spoiler]soldiers being attacked by the walkers inside that building?
Seems like a missed opportunity to spice things up a bit.

The only thing the scene with them trashing that house did was make me dislike all 3 kids now.

That's exactly what I thought. I'm like dude...back up from the scope....

Didn't have enough to pull the trigger. Him being reluctant to pull the trigger is going to get him and or family killed. I don't think he has enough to even bludgeon one to death.

And not sure what was going on with Chris and Alicia. Trying to build up some weird teenage sexual tension or something.

I agree with the library. I would have liked them to shown them clearing it.

Sigh. I liked it. It reminded me of the scene in Dawn of the Dead where they 'played dress up'...

Very sloppy and convenient way to setup the horde. If they're all contained in the forum why give up the whole area.

Many things clarified tonight...like we all turn no matter what.

The thing about the original WD that fear doesn't have, is that TWD got to just jump right into it. Fear has the fun moments of the fall story, but it also has to deal with all the garbage that no one actually likes. We have to get bored to tears with all the "we can still come back!" And "they aren't REALLY dead! They're still people!" stuff that's, while annoying, realistic. It's how people would act. Sadly, we as viewers know the truth. 6 episodes of the characters coming to terms with the world isn't nearly as enjoyable as the six episodes of TWD season 1 where the characters were already accepting of the world, and were forced to actually do something.

Season 2 will make or break this show, and I'm willing to give it a chance.
