Man this HD-DUD Fanoyism is at all-time high with this rumor. They are now saying on AVM$ that they come here & we talk about killing Hd-DUD fans? Lol, that has to be one of the most cynical post I have ever heard from such fud artist, here is the quote from LEE STEWART:

Quote:
Not at all - I do admire the person that started this rumor because I believe it truly is a rumor and nothing more. But if the BD Zealots want to believe it is the truth then they are going to have to wait till 1PM EST (10AM PST) to finally realize it is just that.

Would you like to see some of the posts that BD.com members write concerning HD DVD and it's supporters? We have a thread going to HDF - I can link it if you would like. Really funny and sick stuff. Posts about killing HD DVD supporters are discussed. And this is acceptable behavior? From hobbyists supporting a CE format?

If you ask me I think the OP is nothing more than an hd dud troll, stirring up some fire on here. I mean does anyone on here know anything about him/her? Only 8 posts and they all are on here. I seriously doubt this person is even remotely telling the truth.

I'm taken aback at the pace of growth in this thread. Is the whole idea now to set some sort of record for Blu-Ray.com and not to address this with some skepticism?

I don't mean to be rude, but one good way to have fun with a bunch of blu or red couch potatoes [present company excepted of course] is to get them excited at the prospect of some cool new snack and then at the last moment scream out loud : "Fooled ya!".

Otoh, with the way this stuff unfolds these days, I suppose TWX could put and end to this and same way Viacom did, and WB deciding to honor their release commitments would be fairer to the HD DVD owners than what Paramount pulled with Transformer.

OP could be someone who really hates blu owners. Or he could be trying to scoop the world. Either way, the world would not change for the rest of us, whether it happens. or not.

I don't believe that a person has to have 8000 posts to be credible. Like he said, he could be a person who has posted here before and we might know him...

Why would you compliment him like that? Lee Stewart is not NEARLY articulate enough to pull something like that off.

For the record, Amir claims the rumor is false. In Amir's exact words.

Quote:
Anyway, everything we know says it is false. Could he still be right? The odds are very well stacked against him…..
Still, instead of calling Bill or Steve up to cut an emergency cheque to TWX to counteroffer this supposed Sony+Panasonic deal, Amir is calmly still answering late night questions on the insider thread.

This is all silly. To think I stopped composing haiku just to read this thread! Please don't make it any longer than 100 pages. This thread is already 42 pages long!.. No more, no more. Please.....

You know they've taken gullible out of the dictionary?

Relax people, im not a WB insider.

I just know the people

Just doing my part in clearing the air because I'd imagine a few of you HD DVD fans would've been in panic mode over the rumours of Warners going BD.

Just to clear some things up about myself.

I lecture Media studies at Deakin University in Melbourne on an irregular basis and I have worked in the Australian media industry for the last 25 years in various areas, film and tv have always been a big passion of mine. I did some work with George Miller on Happy Feet recently and at present I am doing some advisory work with the ABC.

That's all I need to say now.

As much I wish the OP to be true, you bring up some good points...

IMO, anyone in the know about "earth-shattering news" should keep it to themselves (until it becomes reality).

The last thing BD enthusiasts should want to do is tip-off the Dark Side and give them time to put up a counter offer...think about guys.

Bill Hunt knows nothing about an announcement tomorrow. Penton Man knows nothing of an announcement tomorrow. Amir says no way. Not a single credible person to confirm this rumor.

I say: IT'S TRUE!!!

I don't care what happens tomorrow, but this is certainly one of the funniest threads ever, to watch how everyone here and elsewhere are reacting. All I can say, AVS moderators have got to be praying it's false. Almost feel sorry for what they'd have to deal with. Almost.

If it is true, there is no time for a counter-offer. The rumor is that this is a done deal.

Actually it hasn't been bad on AVS at all yet (a few exceptions). But just wait until tomorrow!

I mean REGARDLESS of whether the rumor is true or not, AVS will be a huge mess tomorrow. Warnings, suspensions, bannings will abound!

I agree that the number of posts a person puts on here doesn't mean they aren't credible. However this person could have done this to stir the pot so to speak, so until I see an actual press release I don't believe it. If you choose to that's fine, it's your choice. I guess we will all find out tomorrow it they were telling the truth or not. All I was trying to say is that something about this just doesn't sit right with me. I hope whoever this is isn't trying to make fools out of everyone on here.
