Wonder which disc (if any) will be the first to go from HDR10 to a dynamic metadata version upon re-release. Come on Blade Runner 2049...

I'd take a Blade Runner/Blade Runner 2049 two-pack in Dolby Vision.

Blade Runners and Fury Road would be easy double-dips for me.

Of course it could apply to all lines going forward but that goes without saying, hence me making the qualification of it not happening with their "existing HDR catalogue" on disc. Warners' wording has been very vague on the subject and just in case anyone might think they were suddenly going to redo all their discs in HDR10+ then I was there to puncture that bubble. I don't always frame my comments with what you know in mind, Mike.

Both Blade Runners are available in DV on iTunes. And they look great!

They look nice on Vudu too but it’s still a crime to watch either of those movies with compressed streaming audio.

I wonder if we'll see the first HDR10+ disc announcements at IFA:

IMAX Enhanced and HDR10+?

They're only documentaries, though. Not necessarily interesting ones, either. Seems like a disappointing start after all the waiting.

IMAX Enhanced was always going to use an existing HDR tech to carry the signal, clearly they've decided upon HDR10+ to relay their IMAX special sauce, just like they're using DTS:X to carry their 12-channel sound mix. Does this mean that an 'IMAX Enhanced TV' is also HDR10+ compatible, even though it may not say it on the box?

Sooooo, this isn't Fox or Amazon (or even the once rumored WB) HDR10+ alliance?
Mill Creek is carrying their banner/laundry, first out of the gate? Seems fishy.

IMAX isn't going to use Dolby Vision for obvious reasons. So it was HDR10 or HDR10+. I am quite surprised it's HDR10+, since that was taking forever to roll out.

And they aren't going to use Dolby Atmos too. DTS X is not surprising, since DTS X is used to do the IMAX Laser 12 channel surround mix.

Of course, IMAX and Dolby are basically competitors

HDR10+ - Don't know guys, it sounds like Dead on Arrival. I mean the words Dolby Vision are more catchier and remembering than HDR10+...Just saying lol.

Even here it's buried under the term IMAX ENHANCED

They promised titles by the end of the year - I expected a Fox title or two (The Predator) but nope, Mill Creek...

If the better name mattered then HD-DVD would have won the format war in like 3 days.

HD DVD was not the better name since it was already in use for DVD players with HDMI outputs and upconverting.
