I got off easy they just deleted my comments. I posted Mr. Bay's comments in the insiders thread. Amir comes up with a smart ass comment. I replied to his comment about how well "The Transformers" was reviewed that this did not address Mr. Bays comments that it could even be better on Blu-ray. It was deleted once and the thread was closed for several hours. When it reopened I tried in a more tactful way to ask the question. This time a different moderator deleted my reply and issues a general warning that any more discussion of Mr. Bay's comments will not be tolerated.

Why no Blu-ray release of Sony's newly remastered version of "Tootsie"? It's a classic that would no doubt attract a few more people to HD.

probably because it wouldn't be a big seller as it is an older catalog title. just because you like it doesn't mean it will sell well.

Back awhile, Amir accused Richard online of not making a reasonable attempt to use MS to do the actual encode on his title….. in order to assure the best possible quality.

Richard countered by going into detail with timelines concerning the names of the exact people that he attempted to *connect with* to get something accomplished with MS with the conclusion that after about 2 months? of trying, it was just in vain and leading nowhere.

Red ants immediately jumped on Richard following that revelation and multiple posts were deleted with the Insider’s thread over there being locked at least once. This whole affair with Richard on AVS has history, as I stated above, and the recent thread that PaulGo linked us to is just the tip of the iceberg.
I had some free time so I decided to Google Amir, interesting results - a "confidential" memo about payouts to influence vendors about the Zune, and a theory about his demotion. Microsoft trying to influence vendors to support for an inferior product, I am shocked!

Hehe, I notice that in the last link of your very, very revealing post above you’ve disclosed the ulterior motive for my many YouTube links on this thread.

Every time he reads our little piece of Blu heaven here with those YouTube links I provide, he just simmers to a boil.

Hey Penton, paidgeek or kdjack,

With CES coming up, any hints (even tiny) of any good announcements coming up? Along the lines of:

Will Warner FINALLY announce Batman Begins, Constantine, Matrix trilogy and V for Vendetta?

Thanks and I am well aware that you all very limited as to what you can tell

But dammit, I have to ask!

Penton, paidgeek,

I have no doubt that yall have seen the Newsweek article, but I do have to wonder if these articles do more harm than good.

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine...eek+exclusives

"The rumor is that Warner is coming aboard soon," says Michael Burns, vice-chairman of studio Lionsgate (LGF), which makes its movies available on the Sony-backed format. "That will make it awfully tough for HD DVD to stay in this game." (Sony declined to comment, and Toshiba only would say it is "in regular contact with the studios.")

To me it seems like these comments could actually anger Warner and hurt the bluray cause.

Or is there something here?

I know you guys are getting sick of being bombarded with these types of questions, but I do have to ask what you're response is to this.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Even the MSNBC website (which is still partially owned by Microsoft) is using the Adobe Flash player. Several years ago I sent email to GE executives and the MSNBC website protesting that non-IE browsers were locked out of MSNBC because the requirement was for IE and Windows Media Player. I got one e-mail back from a tech guy at MSNBC saying they were contractually obligated to do this. I guess freedom of choice which Microsoft always states only applies when they are loosing.

I almost feel sorry for Amir since he spends so much time on the AVS web site Microsoft must be giving him very little to do. The only thing he must be clinging on too as an accomplishment is the HD-DVD fiasco, and if that goes down the tubes he will have very little to look back at.

A few years ago M$ had to pay off Opera because they specially designed their pages to display improperly on anything other than IE.
