I can't remember the movie but I remember listening in the commentary about how late certain shots were added, and the VFX for those looked just as good as if not better than the other stuff in the movie.
Time is a resource but you could also throw 100 people at the problem to solve it quickly. I'm sure at the end of the day some shots look rough because they had little time and also didn't make up for that with more (costly) labor. Other shots could be done in a rush but still look fine because everyone and their mother worked the weekend to do it. It all depends.

Most likely the places they farmed the CGI out too didn’t finish in time for the oncoming release date and Disney didn’t care to move or delay, and no one oversaw what it looked like to see if it was done.

I know people that worked on Catching Fire and the company wouldn’t pay over time or have two teams working, and the release date came and they released it with unfinished effects.

The overworking of these VFX houses and their workers is a huge problem that somehow it still hasn't been resolved.

Overworking and underappreciating.

Hmm. I think Catching Fire looks fantastic so I’m not sure what effects are unfinished but they did great VFX work nonetheless.

I found the CGI in Black Panther to be shockingly poor considering it's not some small budget movie.

The first Deadpool had some shaky effects but its budget was lower. The end result was fewer bad effects (because there were just less CGI altogether) so it wasn't nearly as distracting.

CGI makes the film looks plastic. The Audio is pathetic, no dynamics...dead flat.

What I like are the bright colors, details in the costumes, the outfits, the makeup, the African beat soundtrack, some decor sets.

It will get some Oscars related to costume designs, makeup outfits.

It's funny; it made over $1.3 billion worldwide @ the box office, and a Mexican black and white flix from Netflix is going to get Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Cinematography, and should also get two more for Best Sound Mix, Best Sound Editing, and Best Screenplay and Best Production Design.

Money or true Cinematique Art? ...Art of course. It is just too bad that art is not something appreciated in this world. But then, it's the entire culture of our societies.

I still cannot believe how poor is the Atomas soundtrack on this 4K Blu...Black Panther.
Disney/Marvel lives in an illusory world...all fake, and the film music score suffers the consequence.
The music score should have been glorious with magnificent dynamics.
It is not, the music I really like but it is missing that recording quality of the shiniest starsky.

$1.3 billion and the sound recording engineer did a job that YouTube kids do better.

If you want to hear state-of-the-art sound design, check 'Roma'.

And speaking of "shaky" camera effects; I can't stand it.
Check 'First Man' versus 'Roma' and tell me who's the real first director of cinematography.

Shaky camera style is for kids who need to learn the art of photography, it's people who hide behind the camera, it's people who are afraid, who ...

I can't stand it, it destroys everything we see, or that they're trying to camouflage.
It's so amateurish and unprofessional in this movie hobby.
The CGI effects (many) in 'Black Panther' are also fitting of that category.

The car I like though...2018 Lexus LC 500, some cool special effects with that car.
And the people who designed the costumes (outfits and suits), the makeup artists; they did a fantastic job.

That's understandable if you don't like shaky cam but you're calling Linus Sandgren a kid who needs to learn the art of photography? Really? His work in La La Land is amazing.

That was an awesome job on La La. Too bad he didn't keep that style. I can't stand shaky camera. When are they going to learn. Why why why ...

Observe ...

Right from the first 55 seconds, obviously he gives that unsteady style.
I give him few more years to get back on La La Land.

There are some movies I find shaky cam annoying, but the movie is so good I have to overlook it. Like The Kingdom. It was egregious in that. The only explanation I could give in that for the amount of shaky cam in that, on static shots where nobody is moving, the camera is in the same spot, was that the camera man must have been beating off.

If shaky cam took over the whole industry like it briefly threatened to when Bourne was popular then I might hate it, but as a unique style used every once in a while I find it just fine.

I can deal with shaky cam better than I can with excessive lens flare.

Luckily the John Wick films have started a non shaky cam trend. Keep that shaky cam away from my action movies please!

Black Panther uses shaky cam too; in both action scenes and in CGI special effects.

Shaky cam to an extent is fine, but it's also important how it's edited. If there's a certain amount of shaky cam involved and the shots are longer, it's less problematic to follow. Then you have the way films like Taken 3 do it...

Had it been max 3 shots you'd be able to follow it just fine, but because everything is moving in such a hectic manner and the angles keep shifting you've got no idea what's going on.

That's because it has to make 66 year old Neeson look like an action star.
