Just curious, are these two versions of widescreen essentially the same thing. I've noticed this for a couple of years, but I really can't see the difference in the two.
Also, I'm a huge fan of Widescreen. I love, so this isn't a hater's thread, just wondering if anyone knows if there's a difference (I can definitely see the difference in 1:85:1 and 2:35:1 ratios). |

The black bars at the top and bottom of your screen should be ever so slightly larger with a 2.40:1 ratio as opposed to a 2.35:1 ratio.
Take the Sleeping Beauty BD for instance. Its aspect ratio is 2.55:1, and produces even larger black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. |
