Can Blu-ray players play h.264 from a DVD? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a high definition video file that can fit on a dvd.

I know blu ray players can play normal dvds, but have you heard if they can play dvds with high definition content on them?

If you mean mkv files that are H264 then I hear the OPPO and some of the LG players can. Pretty sure the Sonys and the Pioneers cant.
