Macbook to TV? - Blu-ray Forum

Hello, I want to connect my macbook to my TV. My macbook has mini dvi so i plan on buying a mini dvi to hdmi adapter and then a HDMI cable (from monoprice of course) but for audio I am having a little trouble. The laptop has a Digital audio output/headphone out, so the digital cable has to be 3.5mm?
I dont know what cable I need to buy. I plan on hooking it up to my Onkyo 605 but also other Tvs when I am traveling, so what cables would I need?

The cable I purchased to connect my macbook to my TV had the audio cable attached to it.

EDIT:

Nevermind. I didn't read the OP's post correctly. I didn't use the HDMI connector.
