They haven't been updating daily for quite some time. Probably don't have the time I guess.

I'm hit with "page load error" constantly when I visit, but it's definitely updated often, almost every other day. Sometimes there just isn't anything new in the world of home entertainment media each and every day.

While I could always use more updates, they do update enough that I visit them several times a week.

They also bring me some kick butt news usually so

What really disappointed me was when TVShowsOnDVD.com stopped updating daily. Seriously, they had had a daily update EVERY SINGLE DAY for like 5 years or something and then just one weekend - BAM! no update. Didn't even say anything about it in their following update

I don't know if it has to due with the buyout from TV Guide, or if maybe there just isn't enough news anymore (most of my favorite shows have seen releases now afterall), but it sucked. Still a great site though and I check it every weekday.

Heck, while we're talking about the quality of other websites, why not bring up UltimateDisney.com I used to check that site several times a week. Then they started covering non-Disney releases. Then they got all anti-bluray. And then I stopped reading it completely :P

Get with the times over there guys.

Times are different now, DigitalBits was on the ball during the format war, watching everything so closely, but now that blu-ray won, the news isn't so dramatic anymore. Theres just not that OMG you gotta read this type news now. Just info on new players from time to time and details on upcoming blu-ray discs. Its was the same way back when when they followed DVD and DIVX. A motherload of information until 1 won and then it was just the new players, updated players and whats coming out info as well. When there's no breaking news everyday, what are you gonna do? ramble? But if there's new news, they'll cover it. And I always trust the rumor mill section cause Bill does his homework first.

+1

While not every rumour ends up being 'true', you know when it's posted on the Bits that there are actual reliable sources behind it.
