Also this morning, we haven't verified this in any way, so file it heavily in the Rumor Mill category. But our friends over at Blu-ray.com have learned at CES that THX is starting prep on a future Blu-ray release of Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That would make sense, as Spielberg is known to prefer the BD format. It is, of course, a Paramount title.

Penton-Man did say he had spoken to Bill Hunt.

It's almost enough to make you hope that Paramount is still HD-DVD-exclusive at the point, just to watch them get forced to release a Blu-ray Disc by Spielberg.

Almost. Well, OK, not really. Maybe if it were being released in a week. But probably not even then.

Let's just forget I said anything.

Either way, I am glad to see he reads these forums! Or at least the news. I wonder if he might be on here in disguise.. >.> <.<

I thought so too but since his movies are not covered in the Paramount bribe it really doesn't mean much.

Yes, but they might do what Universal has done, and not release any of his titles yet.
I figure it is at least a step in the right direction. Why would they want to release this in any HD format if they will not have anything else out in that format? The only way they can assure people will buy this and keep buying their products is to release all their titles to Blu-ray.

It will happen.. its just a matter of time now.
