Excellent news!!

The specs listed for the Eureka Blu-ray are missing the DTS HD MA track and the 21 minute long "On Camera" interview feature from the Criterion release though!?

Is that likely to just be an oversight? Can anyone confirm if the missing feature and the lossless audio will be on the UK Blu?

Most likely they will use TrueHD and/or DTS-HD MA. They have used both Loseless formats on all their releases thus far). As for the missing extra, they may not have been able to get the rights to it or something along those lines.

I first saw this, marvellous Apollo documentary around mid 1990’s on VHS with Dolby stereo mix. I thought it was rather well made edited account of the historical missions to explore the moon.

We came in peace for all mankind.

This bluray really shines crisply on Panasonic CRT widescreen in 4:3 (1.37:1). I’ll get around to viewing on the LCD video projector at 1080i at later time.

The six-track DolbyTrue sounds subtlety different to the Dolby stereo 4.2.4 over VHS version. The depth of some of the Saturn V rocket scenes played partly with LCR rumbling with mild LFE.1 to give it that extra rumble, other times the LFE.1 won’t be present.

Split-surrounds very subtle but noticeable when cutting from exterior to interior where the cabin of the CM closes around my ears with the x6 sidewall JBL control 1, surrounds.

Brian Eno music has nice mellow tranquil mood to the images.

Extras are plentiful over the VHS of course

In-depth review here
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/For-A...y-Review/5271/

Astronaut - Al Bean Apollo 12, artist has a wonderful set of paintings along with a nice commentary about his memories on those days on the moon and his fellow astronaut friends.

Audio commentary director Al Reinert and Commander, Eugene A. Cernan (last Apollo 17 last astronaut to have walked on its surface)

With the subtitle turned ON it displays the astronaut names seen on screen.

(John F. Kennedy)
We set sail on this new sea…because there is new knowledge to be gained…and new rights to be won…and they must be won and used for the progress of all mankind.

A bit pricy at HMV for £19.00 and with the viewings so far over average £8.50for cinema ticket I’d say I’ve had my three times viewing.

Anyone else have this documentary on bluray region B or other?

it is a Criterion release also so I expect a ton of people have seen it.
MoC and Criterion sometimes have overlapping titles which in this case is good because they are both locked to their respective regions.
It came out back in June on Criterion in celebration of the anniversary.
