DVDTimes is reporting that Sony will bring this highly acclaimed sci-fi movie by Duncan Jones to Blu-ray on November 16th.

The end of 2009 seems to be getting very expensive for me.

I can't see any pre-orders though?

I've heard good things about this movie but i will rent it first before i decide to buy or not

Brilliant film, I will definitely pick this one up as soon as it's out. Easily one of the best films I've seen this year along with Park Chan-Wooks Thirst and Let The Right One In.

Very powerful performance by Rockwell, another beautiful score by Clint Mansell, emotional/interesting story and some great cinematography.

Sony's release record so far is weighted heavily towards region free. No guarantees though, I'd wait until someone here can actually check it.

It has Thai and Chinese options for the UK release so it should be. DVDTimes also says so.

Why is the cover a Michelin man with a deflated suit wearing trainers?

Kidding.. Good movie. Although slow in places (it almost lost my interest), it got my attention back about half way. Although its one of those movies where the curiosity draws you in, I don't know what kind of replay value the movie would have. Although I really like movies where the terrain is alien and desolate.

Picking this one up. Supporting Duncan Jones and co so more sci fi can be made like this. Preferably with slightly better budgets next time, although in this movie the only sign of that is the lack of a cast

I've never purchased off Amazon's UK site. How long does it generally take for a disc to arrive in the states? Any news on improvements for the US release? I thought Moon was one of the greatest films of 2009 and I'm itching to just buy it at any price, but not if there's more goodies on the US disc. Help!!!!

So Moon does have a U.S. release coming up? Thought about importing 'cause I didn't know if it did.

As for ordering from Amazon U.K., I've purchased two things from them (Planet Earth and Band of Brothers) and have been pleased both times. I had no hassle placing the orders, their automatic currency converting is handy. Both orders were shipped very quickly. I just bought Band of Brothers on 11/12 and it shipped the same day! It arrived with today's mail which is really good considering it came over the weekend.

I highly recommend ordering through Amazon U.K.

I pre-ordered on Amazon's US site when Moon was first posted on Blu-Ray.com. Then Amazon removed their page and I received an email stating the release date was pushed to Jan. 12, 2010. I'm not sure how solid that date is, but I'd prefer to surprise my wife with this film as a X-mas stocking stuffer as she loved it just as much.

Stocking stuffer? I'd be a happy camper with this as a straight up gift!

The only thing turning me off of importing this is the price, yikes.
