Default Size Matters! (Well Length does right?)

You ever watch a movie and you are really getting into it and just like that it's over? (Without a clear explanation or closure) Or how about a movie that has you looking at your watch or actually falling asleep!?

Tell us about your experience while watching a movie that was too short or too long.

I'm going to get some lip for this but when I saw the first "Lord of the Rings" at a movie theater I was working at (with a sold out showing) I actually feel asleep half way through!

The return of the king WOULD NOT END!! 20 Min to long.

No country for old men. Ending made me scratch my head, but after it sunk in I understand why it ended that way.

Most recently was Transformers, almost twice as long as it should be, 95 maybe 100 minutes is what it should have been, not 150! Star Trek was a bit short, and Wolverine, despite being barely 100 minutes, felt about 90 too long! I actually fell asleep through Wolverine. And Watchmen felt kinda short, despite it being almost 3 hours! Hopefully the extended Director's Cut might fix that. But as for classics, a few weeks ago, one of my local theatres did a Ghostbusters Double Bill and it felt as if it only ran the time of one film, never noticed how short those films are.

Resident Evil: Extinction was too short. I thought the movie was going along really well and then just......stopped.

Also the remake of The Fog. The way that ended so abruptly and without making sense made me wonder if they ran out of money and said "ok we're going to end the movie today."

Some movies end when it feels like the story is halfway, such as The Cake Eaters. Really irritating and unsatisfying.

Caligula.

Some parts were too long, other parts were too short.

As for the movie, I think it was too long.

Battle Royale 2: Requiem/Revenge; pacing was all off and way too long. The theatrical cut was like 20 minutes longer than the first film and the director's cut of the film was even longer than that.

I was sick of hearing people talk about the "multiple endings" of ROTK five years ago and I'm still sick of it.
Did you really want them to just end it? Would it not have bothered you if they simply glossed over what happened to Aragorn and Arwen? Frodo after he returned to the shire? I was actually surprised at how much they left out of the ending, what happened to Gimli? Legolas? Merry and Pippin after Frodo left? The appendices and books cover this but the movies leave it all unsaid. They did film all that stuff though so maybe on the blu release of the EE's we'll see it.

Couldn't agree more. When you think about it, you just watched 9+ hours of story with these characters. A half hour is nothing to wrap up everyone's storyline.

If the movie ended after destroying the ring people would've been screaming murder too, I think. It fits perfectly with the rest of the nine (or eleven) hour adventure that went before it.

Yes, I keep hearing on the radio from some Dr. that size matters and that women want thickness, according to the Dr's roomies when he was in college.

Hmmm, well I had Blade Runner on blu and I fell asleep the last time trying to watch it (loved it growing up).

Return of the King -Frodo and Rudy could have just made out in the beginning and saved a lot of time.

Never Ending Story -way too freaking short

Taken - Agreed, I would have been happy with a bit more.

Spiderman 3 - about 1 hour 30 minutes too long

Rambo (2008) could have been longer

Rocky (2008 or 07) could have been much shorter, cutting out the whole I want to sleep with the girl I used to babysit nonsense.

The Day The Earth Stood Still (remake) should have been longer with more development.
