Default Panasonic IR.

Hey Guys,

Well after noticing some IR on my PZ800 a few nights ago I contacted Panasonic and asked them if they had any other info they could give me
to help out with the issue besides running the WhiteBar because that wasn't doing shit! So I got this response this morning.

Thank you for your e-mail. Please be advised that what you have noted below is temporary static image retention, which is not permanent. It will dissipate and disappear once you watch different programming. If you want to get rid of these static images faster then you can run your set on a snowy screen for 1/2 an hour to an hour.

To run your model on a snowy screen: Turn "no signal shut-off" and "no action shut-off" to NO in the Set-Up >> Other Adjust Menu. Connect the cable from the wall directly the RF (coaxial) Input on the back of the TV, use the TV remote to tune to a channel that you get a signal on, ie: 05, then remove the coaxial cable from the back of the set. Your TV will remain on a snowy screen.

Ill try it tonight and see what happens. I thought i'd share this with you in
case some of you might need it.

Joe.

Have the same issue with my Z80U but not so much with my new S1. For me I think it was an issue with improper break in. At the moment it is in another bedroom and it gets limited use a day so it is not so much of an inconvenience . Good luck but I think you're just going to have to deal with it or buy a new set.
