Disney/Pixar "UP" on Blu-ray Nov. 10th - Blu-ray Forum

Fans of Disney/Pixar's animated film "UP" will be able to buy it on Blu-ray, with a bonus digital copy, on November 10th. Not sure if the official press release has gone out but November 10th is in fact the release date and a digital copy is confirmed.

I wounder if they'll do the weird 2 disc and 3 disc versions like they did with Wall-e, or be like most movies and just pack it in. Either way, I'm looking forward to it!

Not sure, all I know is that a digital copy is included so that will make it at least a 2-disc edition, but perhaps it will end up like "Wall-E" with two-discs making of the film and bonus material, and a third disc being the digital copy. Expect the official announcement in the coming weeks.

This film is not screened yet in my country!
But yet, I can't wait to get this on BD. The trailers on apple.com is just jaw dropping good. And I don't expect it to be any worse than that.

I hope this comes with a DVD copy of the film like the other Disney movies do. But Pixar doesn't do this, right?

There is "talk" of including a DVD of the film and a digital copy (perhaps on the same disc) but nothing confirmed. All I can confirm is the release date of 11/10/09 and that a digital copy will be included.

Up is the movie of the year and I think it has a chance to be the first animated movie to win more than one golden statue next year.

If Wall-E didn't, Up certainly will not.

E: Actually I think there have been multiple Pixar releases that have won more than one Oscar

But apparently, in France, it will be released on November 29th, so i'll get it there

I actually thought "Up" was really good. Not as good as "Nemo" or "WALL-E," but one of the best movies of the year. Much better than "The Incredibles," "Cars," and "Ratatouille." I hope they do mean it by "it's coming out on Blu-Ray Nov. 10th." I also hope that they add the DVD in with the Blu-Ray too.

Yeah, I know... here in Brazil it'll only hit cinemas September 4th... The weird thing is... it's the ONLY time recently Disney has done it, since Christmas Carol, Princess and the Frog and Toy Story 3 are all going to have "same-day" releases with the US... go figure...
