United Kingdom Dawn Of The Dead (1978 Arrow Release)

Anybody know what the specs are for this release? Amazon UK lists it as two discs and I really miss the "Director's " & "Argento" Cut. I know Anchor Bay is "working" on getting out the Ultimate Edition on BD, but I want it asap.

Any friend in the UK have any information regarding this release.

Thanks in advance.

Dolph

I think I'll wait for reviews... I do have some early arrow DVDs and they are nothing to brag about.

So is this gone for good, or does anyone know if Arrow will release another version later on?

This is now OOP, whatevers left in stores and online is all there will be from now on. So might be worth picking up now if you been holding off.

Its £10 at Amazon & play.com so get orders in now to avoid disappointment and/or paying silly money once the stock starts to thin.

It's already OOP. See a few posts up.

Whats left in stores is it. No more will be made and stores won't replen once they sell out.

Unless I'm mistaken, this edition should come with a slip as standard.

Well on amazon.uk i can still order it but it says it can take up to 9-10 days for them to get it back in stock. So basiclly if i want it, i should place my order now ASAP? By any chance do you know of any other good titles i can order with this film? any other good arrow releases that are OOP or going to be OOP?

I would order ASAP if you really want it.

http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...689&sku=232577

and

http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/dawn-of...d&affil=thggps

Still have it listed as in stock, but they are a bit more expensive than Amazon.

For now the only other they confirmed was OOP was a DVD I forget the name off the top of my head.

Also the Battle Royale Limited Edition is OOP but it may still be available to order direct from Arrows site, was around £40 last time I looked.

CEX generally inspect their discs before accepting them from people, i've literally only had ONE problem with a DVD and that was from one I ordered online. Recently, their prices have been hiked up to match more popular retail chains. But their prices do go down as much as they go up, and when they go down they go DOWN. It's better to go the online route with them.

A lot of the prices CEX charge for used BD's you can get new for the same or similar price. Evil Dead and Byzantium are both £10 in CEX and you can get them new from Amazon for £10 each.

True, but I promise you that when they go down in price in a few months, they'll end up being a good deal cheaper than the new stocks on Amazon or Play or whatever. They just start at a high price for some reason and then go down dramatically.
