Default Lethal Weapon 1&2 Directors Cut

Lethal Weapon 1&2 Directors cuts with the scenes edited back into the movie with True HD 5.1 audio.

I'd rather have a set with all four films of course with seamless branching for Lethal Weapon 1-3 of the Theatricals and Director's Cuts. More extras hopefully including commentaries.

I hope they do that, I'd definately buy them than. I could buy the theatrical releases of Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 on BLU for 9.99 right now, but I know there will be double dips, so I'll have to wait...

I am also resisting LW purchase although the prices are down. Hope to see a pristine treatment in the near future.

Has anyone heard why Warner Bros. didn't release a director's cut of Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 on Blu-Ray, like they did on DVD - or if they plan to?

I'll take those (Director's Cut) on Blu-Ray - separately, or in a double pack... but not all 4 movies. The 3rd & 4th movies were WAAAY too campy (the second one was getting there, but the last two were over the top campy... I half expected Rosie O'Donnell to show up and put the cap on a total screw-up like she/they did for "Another Stakeout")!

Honestly... Lethal Weapon 2 would have been better if Riggs had died and met Rika - AND his wife in the afterlife, and walked away together.

Richard Donner's Theatrical Cuts for Lethal Weapon 1-3 ARE his Director's Cuts. The Director's Cuts on DVD are just Extended Versions. Just get the DVDs and put them with the 5-Disc set.

Why I think Riggs story ended great he went from a guy who lost everything and wanted to die to a guy who has every reason to be alive. LW 4 could have been way better but if that's really the last time we see Riggs again then it's fine by me. I do wish we can get the extended cuts on blu but did is fine I guess.

The deleted scenes are in HD in the LETHAL WEAPON Collection Boxset. You should buy it if you already don't own it.

That sounds awkward.

My comment was meant to indicate it would be no more awkward than dying and heading into the afterlife with your murdered daughter, a final shot that was both laughable and not a little creepy.

What are the differences between the Theatrical Cut of Lethal Weapon 2 and the Extended Cut? I've only noticed the differences in the originals.

This site is extremely useful. (Comparisons for 1, 2, and 3, in order. Director's Cut = Extended Cut.)
