Miley Cyrus Raps Goodbye to Twitter

According to Billy Ray Cyrus, his daughter is pretty much the Mother Teresa of Hollywood. She's the "light" in a dark universe and, therefore, should never have deleted her Twitter account.

Really, he said that.

But in a new video, Miley Cyrus explains why she will no longer Tweet to her fans. It's not because of pressure from boy toy Liam Hemsworth; it's because Cyrus wants to keep her private life private and is "living for me."

It's actually the most sense Miley has made in months, even if she had to do it in another attention-grabbing, self-serving manner...

How exactly is Twitter 'a private life'?

That's the single dumbest thing I've ever heard a celebrity say in my entire existence.

Twitter is basically texting to EVERYONE what you're doing. It's basically {not only for celebrities} a way of self promotion. It's the furthest thing from private that you can possibly get on the internet, if she wants to keep her private life private, she should probably delete any instances of her myspace page, facebook groups, personal websites etc.

Anyone who wants to know what people are doing on Twitter in general are creepy, not just the ones that want to follow underage celebrities.

There are certain things that if you text me with, I'll know, but those people I know in real life not just over the internet.

I agree as well. It's the perfect way for someone to kill you...

These people update their status every 5 mins. I don't need to tell people where I'm going to be 24/7. It was an interesting tool when it first came out but like all good things, it will eventually be replaced with something else.

wow dude,Im sure she knew the whole time, just she now decided she no longer wishes to share her lfie with everyone. Thought it was a fun thing at first, then decided she didnt want it anymore. Obviously she knew it wasnt private.

I thought people were saying that she didn't have to make twitter as personal as she did. Which is true but she probably had very little too talk about or maybe she thought talking about her personal life would make fans happy. At any rate it became too much (a ton of websites tried to make anything she said into news).
