Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Blu-ray Blu-ray and anaglyph 3-D

A sold-out tour.

and the complimentary 3D concert documentary is expected to break box office records this weekend. It is expected to be the first film to gross over $30m in less than a 1000 theatres.

This can only be a good thing for the BD release.

I think if people are paying $1200-13,000 for tickets I'm sure they can afford a damn Blu Ray. And yes someone did in fact pay $13,000 for a pair of tickets. On a local radio station that does charity work for a homeless food bank and Children's Miracle Network someone bid $13K for the tickets. I don't think people understand how much pull this show has along with High School Musical.

i am going to pick up the bluray for a couple of reasons

1. my sister wants
2. i have sort of a crush on her (i am only 17, lol)
3. I am a fan of the jonas brothers

That's according to the guy who did the review on HSM2 on this site. No idea how many BDs they sold though.

Disney is releasing the Hannah Montana 3D concert movie on April 15th with a CD of the live concert.

Any chance of it getting released on Blu-Ray?

Hmm, and with all the money she's making and all the fans she has, you would think this is one concert they would put on Blu-ray to spread the word and make financial sense! I have no idea as per your question, though.

Similarly, I'd want to know if U23D was coming out on BD in 3D as well. My Mitsubishi DLP is 3D-ready, making this a must-own title for me.

The Blu-ray format, and your Blu-ray player, has no support for real 3D. So you'll be waiting for quite a while.

The best you can do is to have the content converted for anaglyphic blue/red glasses... which are really quite awful compared to real digital cinema 3D. But you don't need your fancy DLP 3D TV for that.

This is why you generally only see 2D releases of 3D theatrical movies.
