Problems with WALMART?? - Blu-ray Forum

I am planing on going to wal-mart to buy Transformers: ROTF next Tuesday. My Walmart (Fair Lakes, Virginia) opens at 6 AM. Has anybody had any problems with walmart not having there new releases out at that time?? I remember i once had to wait almost 2 hours for a CD... but i am not sure about movies. Anybody had any problems at there walmart or my walmart (If you have gone there)? THANKS

I never had a problem with my wal-mart. Is your wal-mart 24 hrs?

My store has signs up that TF2 is available at 12:01 am.

it opens at 6 am and closes at either 11 or 12. I havent seen any signs saying anything about that.

mine is 24hrs. they tend to put stuff out around 11.

Last release Tuesday my Wal-Mart hadn't put out the new releases, and it was like 11:00 a.m. Tuesday! That was the first time I had been there on a new release Tuesday though. I wouldn't doubt if it's like that every Tuesday though. No telling what time they put the new stuff out.

i usually go when I get off work at around 4 am. Some stores are better than others. I have 3 stores I can go to on my way home. And each one differs from one another.

My 24-hour store sometimes has issues, and sometimes it doesn't.

They had Wizard of Oz out the day before, but one time I went there at midnight to pick up a game, and they had to go dig through boxes in the back to find copies of it.

Best bet is to call ahead and make sure they are aware of it coming out, and if they are, it will more likely be out when you get there.

Do you guys suggest me going at midnight ,I mean do you think it will be that bad or I will have no problem walking in the next day.

The Fair Lakes store is pretty unorganized, with a reduced emphasis on media products. That store is typically last on my list in Northern Virginia when it comes to searching for dvds/BDs/videogames. Both stores in Manassas or the one in Sterling are superior.

The only issue with my Wal-Mart is their selection, and availability.

See the problem is that you are going to Wal-Mart. I am pretty sure there is a name tag on a desk in corporate with Luscifer on it. I mean people's IQs drop as soon as they enter the parking lot. People loose the ability to walk in a straight line and will walk into with carts and then look at you like its your fault. God I hate that place.

Go to somewhere else. Target or FYE or something like that. Wal-Mart is evil.

i have to get it at Walmart because i want the IMAX Version, should i go at opening and make them go into the back and pull them out, worst case scenario is they will tell me "The movies arent in yet"

You see i am also wondering the same thing? My walmart is kinda gay they never have anything!! I hope they will have this movie at 12:01 am. I will go tomorrow to my walmart and ask them if they are going to have a midnight release.

i havent heard of any midnight releases, except for some Best Buys.

It will be a overhang on their security sensors when you first walk in the doors such as this...

My WM usually has new releases out by 2-3am, but since they are advertising at 12:01, I am hoping they will be out when I go to pick it up. I dis-like WM as well but for $19.96 for the IMAX version and the $3.00 off coupon, I will swallow my pride.

the banner says the game will be out at 12:01 AM not the movie.

It's an error in printing, the game came out in June when the movie did.
